I ordered this beanie for my husband who works road construction in Oregon and Washington. This is not the first "waterproof" clothing purchase I had made and I expected this to be as disappointing as all the others.
When it arrived, I immediately put it over my hand and stuck my "hatted hand" under our water faucet and turned it on. After two minutes of continuously running water, my hand was still dry!!
My husband did the same water test Christmas morning when he opened it and was just ...as surprised as I was. He wears it at work CONSTANTLY (he is bald) and says it is the best beanie he has ever owned!! Three of the guys he works with have already ordered theirs.

Its is the most functional beenie ive ever had, it fits nicely and its wind and waterproof which is perfect and it keepsyou warm thats three in one of the most needed functions for survival.

No but the hat have a tall length you re able drop it on your neck !! And easy to dry and keep your head warm!!!

Yes, you can but do not expect it to be waterproof. I purched it for the color, the warmth, the beanie style and to keep my hair from snagging on my gear. I also agree with the other posts for dry warmth and snug fit :)..

I would say no. It is a knit cap, not neoprene. It has what sounds like a plastic layer in the middle, which makes it very good at blocking cold, winter winds. That is why I bought it. It also has a nice, snug fit around the ears.

No you can't. It is only before or an after dive use to insulate your head from strong winds and cold weather

You could try it under a dry hood, but it would have to be very tight .In short, I doubt it.

No- while it sheds water it's best for before/after diving. In the water I use a wetsuit hood. This is great for boat trips and very windproof to keep your wet head warm.
