Everything about this knife is great except the barnicle bolts. Maybe its just on my BC, but the bolts are too short to attach the knife to the mares icon via the knife grommets (couldnt even get the first thread to grab). I ended up ordering metric stainless steel hex bolts and fender washers and now it fits and functions great, however it would have been nice if I didnt have to spend $20 in hardware to attach a [$] knife.

Very nice little BC knife, and mounts neatly on your inflator hose. I really liked it, but was always bothered by the rather weak springs on the locking mechanism. It came out entirely too easily, I thought. Then, last week, it finally happened. It popped out of its sheath, probably on the giant stride entry, and is now residing somewhere on the bottom of the Cay Sal Banks. Now I am shopping for a new knife, and am looking for a really positive locking system. But that's what everyone has been saying this knife has. (?) Maybe my springs were defective? Too bad, the knife was darn near perfect otherwise.

Comments about Aqualung Squeeze Lock Knife, Blunt:

BC attachment threaded knobs are too short and the plastic heads both broke off after a couple trips. Time to head to the hardware store and figure out a plan B.

Blade arrives dull. If you try to sharpen it the metal is soft and will not take an edge well.

Comments about Aqualung Squeeze Lock Knife, Blunt:

I really have enjoyed using this dive tool. Just as advertised, the sheath locks the knife in and there is no wiggling of the knife while it is in the sheath. It is a very secure system. It is a small size so it doesn't get in the way of activities. I use this snorkeling, kayaking, canoeing, etc. because I know it will not fall out of a pocket like a regular pocket or clip on knife. I am not sure about the blade yet. I am not the best at sharpening knives but it seems that this Wenoka takes a little work to get it sharp. I have cut fishing line and rope above and under the water with it and it performed great however. The only real problem I had with the item is that no rubber straps were included with it. The sheath is advertised to attach to your dive gear but I don't do much diving so I had to buy straps for like 5$. It would just be easier to include them. Overall I love the tool and would definitely buy another.

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ANTHONY F  Titanium blade, compact blunt tip, on sale w/free shipping
Shopper  Are both sides sharpened? I see the one side has serrations, but the other side looks like it's flat. I want a knife with one side serrated and the other like a regular blade.
LANCE M  Yes, Both sides are sharp. VERY SHARP! It's a perfect little knife to cut yourself out of fishing line or other entanglements. The double clip that attaches the knife to the sheath is very secure and locks it in place. I have it attached to my BC and have never lost it. I highly recommend it.
Shopper  Is slot on sheath large enough for 2" belt?
MARTHA R  yes looks like it would fit 2 inch belt. I did not try it because i use it on the BCD>
