I use this knife as a general purpose dive knife, but it excels as a knife for spearfishing. It is very sharp and maintains its edge well. My knife is attached upside down to my inflator hose and the knife has never fallen out of the sheath after 5 years of use. The EZ lock mechanism works well for me. I've recommended this knife to several of my spearfishing buddies and they've all given it a thumbs up.
Aqua Lungs Wenoka Dive Knives have been serving the industry for over three decades and counting. The Wenoka EZ-Lock is no exception to this tried and true line of diving accessories, with a 4" (10.2cm) high-grade beta alloy titanium stiletto or tanto tip blade. The knife's overall length is 9" (22.9cm) the EZ-Lock is the serious diver's tool. A knife like this you don't want to lose, so Wenoka's patented EZ-Lock locking mechanism securely locks your knife in its sheath.
The knife allows variable mounting options with a molded belt clip on the impact resistant plastic sheath that comes with rubber leg straps. The positive grip handle is equipped with a hole for attachment of a wrist lanyard. The knife blade has one-side with alternate hollow ground serrations, and a line cutter and the other side with a straight edge. The knife is without a doubt a diver's tool.

The knife in the photo is a stiletto.

Mine is a tanto blade. I'm not sure why the photo shows a stiletto. Maybe they switched it?

It is a stiletto in the photo. Perfect for finishing your catch when spearfishing.

WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF KNIFE ONLY?
WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF SHEATH PLUS KNIFE [NO PACKAGING]?
Lama G
Thanks AAron
WILLIAM S
It's only about 10 to 12 ounces. It's a very lightweight knife.
Sheath and handle are made of a plastic material, but knife is vert well constructed.
AARON A
Knife only: 81.8 grams
Knife and sheath: 121 grams (4.27 oz)
Btw: I really like this knife. The handle looks cheap but it is solid and easy to grip even with gloves

First of, you need to know I'm a knife guy... Grand dad made custom knives and I bought this out of the novelty of owning a titanium bald vs the D2 steel that Gpa made his out of. I like knives and I am critical of shotty blades. It stays sharp and is salt water safe. But the weight....This knife is light as helll. Surprised me when I took it out of the package. I don't have an accurate scale near me, but standing on a bathroom scale with and without it says it is less than or equal to .4lb with the sheath. don't have the sales specs in front of me so take that how you will. Also, bathroom scales tend not to be accurate at detecting oz differences. The titanium blade is super light. When holding the knife in your hand the blade feels like it isn't there... If that even makes sense.
I love the knife and have taken it on 6-8 dives. If strapped to the bcd I didn't have to change my weights verses without it. If strapped to the leg (80's action hero style!!) I just had to remember it was there.
One thing though, my Lama G unit, get the blunted/ flat tip model. The sharp point can't be used for prying.... More in need in on the surface than under water. But more importantly ... It is also a reeeeaaly sharp point. I just wanted to play with it at about 23m and accidentally scratched a gash into the leg of a rental suit in Dubai. Oops.
Also! Make/ buy/ find a wrist lanyard. For it. The sheath lock is adequate but once it's out of the sheath, the handle isn't very grippy. Works well with any gloves with a nonslip grip/ rubarrized gloves, but bare flesh on injection moulded PVC in cold water means the live sinks. Lucky for me, it was only 29m to the bottom to retreve it.
Hope this all helps make a decision Lama G!
Lama G
Thank you Jeffrey, Since it's titanium, it's going to be about half the wt of steel, but I'm interrested in the actual weight.

HOW FAR DOES THE TANG EXTEND INTO THE HANDLE?
JAMES C
You can't tell without an xray.
ALAN I
I bought this a few years ago to give to a friend in Honduras. You can not see the end of the tang, so I would not call it a true full tang, but it felt like it went most of the way down the handle. I would say it probably ends just before the lanyard hole. My friend was delighted with it. It went right on his BCD and as far as I know it has not come off since. I was very satisfied with the construction of the knife. As long as you are looking for a backup knife of one to use spearfishing, like my friend does, I think you will be pleased. If you want to pry scallops off the rocks, you will need something larger. To me, it seemed like a good value in a titanium knife. Hope this helps.
Lama G
Thank you Alan. I actually do want to do prying; not scallops but shucking coconuts. I'm also looking to minimize my pack weight.
ALAN I
That is going to be some heavy duty work! For that kind of work you want a standard pointed blade or a tanto blade. The AKONA Talon Titanium Medium Drop Point Knife, Ocean Master Beta Titanium Knife, Standard Point Tip or the Ocean Master Beta Titanium Knife, Tanto Tip all looks like they could be a good choice. Just stay away from the very fine stiletto point. They look cool and are perfect for braining a speared fish, but for the kind of work you want to do with the knife, it will break and leave you with a piece of trash to carry home. It sounds like you are off for an adventure. Good luck and have fun!
Lama G
WHAT IS THE BLADE THICKNESS?
MITCHELL M
After measuring the blade thickness with a flux capacitor micrometer it looks to be about 299/320" thick
Lama G
Thank you James.
JAMES G
i would guess it's about 1/8" at it thickest. best knife i've ever used
