About SUUNTO D9TX TITANIUM COMPLETE (Z)
The Suunto D9tx is the world's first all-in-one wrist trimix dive computer. It brings together top-of-the-line features in a full titanium housing with sapphire glass, creating a design that complements a boardroom suit as well as it does a wetsuit. With gas switching between up to eight gases, the same technical RGBM as the award-winning Suunto HelO2, and an easy-to-read 3D tilt-compensated compass, it's the perfect all-in-one companion for adventurous spirits. A trimix-compatible dive computer opens-up the increasingly popular world of technical diving including wreck and cave diving by allowing you to explore the depths for longer.
Suunto's innovative tilt-compensated electronic 3D compass redefines underwater navigation. Regardless of the angle of your wrist, you'll have full confidence in the accuracy of your bearings. The Suunto D9tx integrates a digital compass, which can be used both while diving and on dry land and can be accessed from either the DIVE mode or TIME mode. The Suunto D9tx displays the compass as a graphical representation of a compass rose. The rose displays the cardinal and half cardinal points, in addition to which, the current bearing is also displayed numerically.
The wireless air integration is provided by the included Transmitter that is easy to install in you first-stage regulator HP port. This small and compact transmitter 3.15" (80 mm) in length and 1'57" (40 mm) diameter will transmit cylinder pressure to the wrist computer eliminating the traditional HP hose associated with conventional analog pressure gauges, lowering the divers profile and streamlining your gear for more efficient diving adventures. The rated working pressure of the transmitter is 4,000 psi (300 bars) with a maximum allowed pressure of 5,000 psi (360 bars). The cylinder pressure function not only gives you your current cylinder pressure, it also informs the diver of their Air Time Remaining (ATR). The computer calculates your breathing rate by the drop-in cylinder pressure along with your current depth giving an accurate calculation of available time in respects to your breathing rate. It also will alert you when you have reached your reserve air 500 psi (35 bars) by displaying zero (0) air time remaining. Tank pressure is displayed both numerically and graphically.
Suunto D9tx has three dive modes. The Air mode is used for diving with standard air, the Mixed Gas mode for up to eight different gas mixes, and the Gauge mode for use as a bottom timer. D9tx supports Trimix in Mixed Gas mode, and you can accelerate decompression by switching to a gas mix with a higher oxygen percentage. You can preset eight different gas mixes (with oxygen between 8% and 99% and helium between 0% and 92%) and set PO2 values for each individual gas. It's also quick and easy to switch between enabled gas mixes during your dive. In Gauge mode, Suunto D9tx works as a bottom timer and provides accurate profile sampling and bookmarking functions. A dive timer with a reset function displays the dive time in minutes and seconds. This is extremely useful for timing accurate bottom times and decompression stops.
Using the Suunto technical RGBM algorithm, Suunto D9tx enables continuous decompression for optimal ascent time. The Deep Stops add further protection with a series of deep stops between your maximum depth and ceiling. The Suunto Reduced Gradient Bubble Model (RGBM) is a modern algorithm for predicting both dissolved and free gas in the tissues and blood of divers. It was developed in co-operation between Suunto and Bruce R. Wienke BSc, MSc, PhD. It is based on both laboratory experiments and diving data, including data from DAN.
The D9tx Dive Computer is a compact watch style computer that measures 1.94" (49 mm) in diameter with a thickness of 0.68" (17mm) and weighs a mere 2.96 oz. (84 g) without bracelet, so you can wear it every day as a timepiece. Computer has an operational depth display from 0'- 394' (0 -120 meters) and in Gauge Mode will display as deep as 656' (200 meters). Computer is altitude adjustable to 10,000' (3,000 meters), has a 12/24 clock function, dual time, stopwatch, ascent rate monitor alarm, ascent time display, audible alarm, deep stop function, full decompression data, log book memory of approximately 80 hours, maximum depth alarm, personal adjustment features, safety stop function, and displays temperature.
You can plan gas mixes, test upcoming dives, and view no-decompression-time data for different depths before getting in the water with the built-in dive planner. After your dive, you can easily transfer your dive data to your computer for further analysis using the optional Suunto DM4 software, which includes a detailed logbook featuring a graphical representation of all your dives. Computer is powered by CR2450 lithium battery and the transmitter is powered by a user replaceable 1/2 AA lithium cell. Computer has a stylish titanium bracelet, comes with a USB cable and comprehensive owner's manual.
