How do you use this with a SeaLife U/W camera? Does it attache to a mount or do you just have to hold it while you're trying to shoot with the camera?
There are 3 mounts that come with it. One for the go pro, one for the aqua pod (a pole), and one for the cold shoe of the camera (where the flash usually sits on above water cameras). Since SealLife made the light and your uw camera, I suspect they will work together fine. I just used this light in Caymens and it worked great. Not stupendous and distance is so-so since it's only 600 lumens and light loses red in 12 feat anyway. I felt to 5 feet was fine, not great.
It attaches by mount. I only used it on one dive trip and then moved up to the SeaLife Sea Dragon Flash. This one isn't bright enough and it's a hassle to keep turning it off and on all the time to conserve batteries.
I picked this up before our trip to Cozumel last week. sealife-sea-dragon-flash-sl963. Love it!! Easy to use, beautiful pics, and long charge. Did 15 dives just last week with it. Two night dives! Awesome!
It comes with a bunch of mounts in the box. Mine, I used the cold shoe mount on top of the camera. Just take out the rubber plug. Works hread. I also use it as a dive light.
I am not using with sea life camera. I am using with gopro camera and looking for another type of yk mount to place on a light table.
You could use it with sea life table and extenders if you get their yk adapter.
I have also used it holding it and plan to purchase a second one. The price and output were good for my needs with the gopro.
Hope this helps.
There is a cold shoe mount to attach it to the DC 1400, but we do not have this item at this time.
The larger lights have an attachment for the arm, which is then attached to the tray.
