The way to go.

from Orange, CA, US

Love these straps. It's so nice to be able to completely unhook from your tank and you get the added safety of two straps. These straps saved my hide once while diving at a very remote location and I needed a screwdriver....with none to be found I was able to use the end of the buckle on these! Worked like a charm. I reduced my rating by 1 star because the bolts were too short for my BP/W. Needed to buy longer ones for added cost.

A must have

Easily converts my scubapro x-tek BC to a single tank BC.

Better design, great straps

I noticed a friend using a Scubapro jacket style BC with the Super Cinch straps would always swap tanks easier and faster than I could using my Dive Rite single tank adapter and cam straps. When I recently decided to build an new backplate/wing rig I tried this instead of the Dive Rite brand. A huge improvement, tank swaps are easy and fast and the tank stays secure, try this on your backplate, you will love it.

Great Buy

This product moves from my open water Scubapro BCD to my Tech OMS

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Glenn F  These are the best cam buckles out. Much easier to swap tanks in between dives. I have them on all my BCDs.
BRIAN H  After looking at all the makes and models out there for simple, strong, reliable, tank securing, these are the best units on the market !
Shopper  Will these bands work on a Halcyon Infinity wing?
HARVEY H  SHold work with any wing and plate that has standard...I think it's 11 inch...hole layout. Even if it doesn't you can drill another hole to fit your rig. I drilled a third hole in mine for stability and a back up. I have lost a delrin nut on the adapter before...glad I had three.
MICHAEL C  Yes, since it comes with a standard steel or aluminum backplate the wing can accept most commonly used attachments
JEFF B  My single tank adapter came with two wing nut mounting screws, Should the 'wing' nut be on the outside(facing the tank), or on the inside (facing the diver/backpad)? I'm mounting a 30# donut to my Xtek Pure steel backplate, the Scubapro manual shows only flat mounting nuts. thanks
George G  Wing Nuts face the diver.
CHARLES M  The bolt is a carriage bolt it has a radius head with a square section between the head and the threads. The bolt is assembled through the single tank adapter with the radius head facing the tank. The square section engages the square hole in the tank adapter. The threads pass through the wing and back plate. There should be enough threads that pass through the back plate to assemble the wing nut. The wing nut will be facing your back. The wing nut is used to expedite changing the back pack between single and double or between double tank setups. If you are nut going to be changing your back pack setup frequently you may want to consider using a stainless steel lock nut with a nylon insert on each bolt. This provides a lower profile than the wing nut.
HARVEY H  Wing nut go to the inside. They will not hit your back. But; If that bothers you (it did me); replace the wing nuts with round delrin knurled nuts / make sure you put locktite on them as they do work loose.
WAYNE G  Wing nut should be facing the diver/backpad.
Taylor F  the wing nuts should be facing you, the middle of the back plate is recessed so you wont feel them.
PATRICIO A  Wing nuts towards your back
JAMIE C  Hi Jeff, Facing the tank. (outside).
ASHLEY S  Inside toward your back, just like diving doubles. You will see it can't go any other way because of the square shape on the bolt that only locks onto the adapter.
