The Mk17 First Stage Regulator is the perfect choice for the recreational diver who wants the advantage of a diaphragm first stage for use in temperate waters. Diaphragm-based first stages are environmentally sealed so that water cannot enter the inner mechanism. The Mk 17 also incorporates a Dry ambient pressure chamber, providing better performance in cold water than any other diaphragm regulator. Bearing in mind that regulators generate temperatures as low as minus 22°F (-30°C) due to the incredibly fast moving air and the pressure drop involved, it is imperative that sensitive moving metal parts avoid contact with extremely cold water or debris. Therefore, diaphragm first stages have been the favored choice of cold-water divers and those working in contaminated or muddy water. The MK17 first stage's streamline body is constructed of machined marine-grade chromed brass. The MK17 has a balanced diaphragm to offer you peace of mind with its smooth breathing mechanisms and maximum performance that don't diminish as your tank's air pressure changes. This first stage is available with a DIN or yoke configuration, making it ideal for divers around the globe. This first stage comes standard with the Thermal Insulating System (TIS), which keeps your first stage from freezing up and malfunctioning in cold water conditions. Additionally, its over-balanced diaphragm first stage design gives ultimate air flow to the second stage.
New for 2011, the C300 offers uncompromising breathing performance for avid recreational divers. The C300 is lightweight with an anti-scratch cover. The C300 allows all the adjustments options of a high-end regulator while remaining a mid-range system. Optimal Flow Design valve (OFD) is for reliable and high airflow. Due to the incorporation of new technology that improves work of breathing performance compared to a classic downstream valve second stage.
The C300 has diver adjustable coaxial Venturi Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA) for powerful inhalation assistance and prevention of free flow and a diver adjustable inhalation control for personalized breathing effort. A redesigned mouthpiece tube allows better exhaust airflow, and an anti-scratch cover keeps it looking good for many years of diving activities.
The C300 housing is a precision molded carbon fiber and techno-polymer material for durability and impact resistance. If you are diving mixed gas the C300 is nitrox compatible and up to 100% oxygen concentration. A sturdy super-flow hose with Kevlar lining for extra durability and flawless air delivery and comfortable when in use with its orthodontic mouthpiece makes the C300 the perfect choice for a primary second stage air source.
