About Scuba Pro Seawing Nova Open Heel Fins

If you are the type of diver who wants cutting edge technology with you at depth, look no further that the SCUBAPRO Seawing Nova Fins. This fin comes with the security of the SCUBAPRO name with the thrill of SCUBAPRO innovation. The Seawing Nova combines classic SCUBAPRO fin technology with the latest innovations in hydrodynamic design and cutting edge materials. This fin has the power, acceleration and maneuverability of a paddle fin with the comfort, efficiency and effortless speed of split fins.

The Seawing Nova brags of having an articulated joint, which will propel you through the water with ease, speed, agility, and amazing comfort. What makes the Seawing Nova so amazing? First, it has variable blade geometry; second, it has an articulated joint. What is an articulated joint? Think about how a dolphin's tail moves as it swims; the natural structure of the tail bends as if it is on a hinge and provides the dolphin with remarkable power. The same science was applied during the development of the Seawing Nova. The variable blade geometry brings us back to the dolphin. As a dolphin's tail moves upward, the tips bend down a bit to make it more streamlined. The Seawing Nova's edges do the same thing as the diver's kick is on the upward swing. As the foot moves downward, the fin flattens out to create an amazing amount of power and thrust. The articulated joint allows the blade to pivot and the entire blade is able to generate thrust. Pivot control technology ensures the most efficient angle of attack is maintained no matter how hard or softly you kick, generating thrust without drag or wasted energy.

The Seawing Nova fins are made using high-tech Elastomer Monoprene construction, which means they are stronger and more flexible than you'll ever need them to be. Variable pivot control ribs insure that the most efficient angle of attack is maintained across all strengths of kick. An added bonus to the Seawing Nova fins is the bungee heel strap. This design frees you from fumbling with heel strap clasps (a true pain for people wearing thick dive gloves and nearly impossible for those wearing dive mitts) and the annoying task of cinching down your heel straps. Simply slide the strap over your heel and you're ready to go with a perfect fit. Go ahead give them a try; you won't be sorry. The Seawing Vented Fin is available in sizes Small, Medium, Large or X-Large, comes in Black, White or Blue colors and is covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Comments about Scubapro Scuba Pro Seawing Nova Open Heel Fins:

Great fins. They are my "go to" fins where ever I am traveling. I dive Cozumel often each year. Even in the currents of Cozumel, they give you propulsion and stability. They are light weight but stiff enough for almost any type of diving. Best overall fins I have used. 5*****

    Questions about this item:

Jean-Marie T  I bought the Gorillas but find I don't get much propulsion. I read these are stiffer than the Nova's; could that be why? I have skinny little legs...
GREG H  I have tried a lot of fins over the years and do a series of underwater timed sprints every few years to choose the best fins for me when I upgrade. I have tried several of the ScubaPro fins, including these. I have also tried some of the much more expensive fins. Full foot fins always outperform open heel fins. The top performers are the surprisingly efficient Mares Avanti Super-Channel Full Foot Fins and the Mares Avanti Quattro Power Full Foot Long Blade Fins. My favorites are the latter, but they take some training to build up your leg strength. I also have little skinny legs. I will often take both fins along for multi-day trips. If my feet get tired with the long fins, I know I can always switch over and go all day with the Super Channels.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JEFF K  I bought these to get more thrust when diving in current, compared to my TUSA XPert Zooms which are a split fin, and am happy with the result.
Peter I  i wear a size 10 shoe and ordered a large. With my 3mil. boot they fell great the fit fells snug my one concern is the heel strap does not feel very tight. can they be adjusted?also back up straps the ones they show are for another fin?
MILTON M  I don't believe the heel strap is adjustable, but these are the best fins I have owned. They provide good propulsion on the surface and underwater, and my legs don't get tired or cramped. I bought the large size for a size 13 foot, and they fit fine with a 3mil boot.
