Male, 5'-8", Weight-180, Chest-40, Waist-40.
Female, 5'-0", Weight-165, Chest-44, Waist-36.
I'm thinking medium or large for both of us but leaning towards medium because of all the talk about a snug fit?
Any advice would be appreciated.
I'm 6'1" 200 lbs. between 46 and 48 inch chest. 36" waist. I have not worn mine much as it restricts my diving down to take pics. I can tell you that mine fit well, it is an XL.(XL is usually what I wear in a t-shirt) And it does work great, in salt water I didn't inflate at all as it was plenty bouyant without adding air.
I'm 6'1" and W41 and C41 and the L is already tight but ok. I might have bought the XL had I known.
For your wife/girl the M would be ok because of her waist size but will be a little snug at the chest but still ok.
Remember that as soon as you put air it will get snug as well, so don't buy too tight.
I hope it helps
I love this vest. I am 6'0", 178#, 41" chest, 35" waist. I feel the medium vest is a great fit for me. I would lean toward both large, or buy one of each @ return / exchange one if it doesn't work.
I am 6'-0", Weight 200, Chest 44 Waist 38 and I have the large. It fits me well and is comfortable and is easy to move and swim in. A medium would be much too small for me.
I am 5'-11 185lb, chest 41, waist-36.
I've bought at first medium, but I had a hard time closing zipper (was too tight), so I went with Large.
Yes it does have gotten a little bit loose when in water, I am thinking of sowing a strap like on other vests.
Personally I would recommend getting 2 separate pieces: 1-3mm neoprene top, and a vest with straps like: Cressi?s snorkel vest
Hi! I believe large. My wife is a little lighter than yours and she' wears a large comfortably. Good luck and have fun.
I would definitely go for the large for him. My husband wears a large and he weights around 165. I would probably go with a large for you too given your chest size. They are very good about returns so if you don't like the fit, you can return it.
You will love this vest - they are great!!
