the single pix of the vest is inadequate (trying to figure out how the vest is put on --simply slip over like a tee, or does one side have a zipper, or what?)
a pocket is mentioned but i can't see it --is there one and if so, what are the dimensions?
We purchased this vest several years ago and have been very pleased with it. It is easy to inflate and deflate and does a great job of keeping a 250 lb. man afloat and happily snorkeling.
Regarding your questions...
If you look closely at the picture, you will see a zipper on the side. This zipper partially opens the vest allowing the wearer to pull it over their head like a T-shirt. The zipper then helps to tighten the vest against the wearer's body. Also, if you look closely at the picture, you will see the pocket on the lower front portion of the vest. I don't have the vest with me, but you can estimate from the picture that it is 3-4 inches high and extends across the front of the vest. I hope that helps
One side of vest has a zipper. pocket has a velcro closure, poctet is on bottom of inflatable section. Pocket itself is a black mesh about 3 1/2 in. high by 10 in. long. pocket is very secure if using for credit card or fishfood :-) as long as you do not put to much in it.
Sure, there was a zipper on the side and a web pouch on the bottom in front spanning the breadth of the vest where you could put sun tan stuff etc
No. Jacket is not like a tee. It has zipper and it goes on like a jacket. There is small pocket with zipper on back. Please note that if vest is a little loose, it will ride up towards neck making it a bit uncomfortable. Better have it a little tight since it has elastic of both sides making it snug fit. Juan
They do Zip up on the side. We have two and they work great. they are at our storage unit so I can't give you details. Having used the strap on vests with the straps around your body and between your legs we prefer these they comfy.
There is a zipper on one side. There is neoprene on both sides next to your torso and the inflatable section in yellow is only on the chest. The pocket is at the very bottom of the inflatable section. It is a coarse mesh and closes with Velcro.
The only issue that I had with the vest is that it tends to ride up toward your chin after a little while. A simple strap that runs between your legs would solve the problem, but I still haven't added one. I used it for two weeks in Hawaii and two trips to Mexico, and it has held up well. The quality is definitely a step up from other vests that I have seen.
There is a zipper along one side of the black neoprene fabric, straight down from the arm pit area. The pocket is the small black section at the bottom of the front, under the yellow. It is about 7" across, 2.5" deep, and expands to 2.5" wide. It is mesh so no attempt to be waterproof, and closes with velcro.
BTW, my wife and I love these vests. They are both very sleek looking and functional. You don't want it to fit too loose, or it might ride up off your chest and around your face when inflated in the water.
The zipper is on the left side. I love this vest. I am in MX now and am using it. It easily slips over your head and then you zip it up. There is the tube u blow into to fill the vest to your liking. The pocket is front bottom. It is small bit your condo keys and money can easily fit into it.
i'll be buying the vest soon to take to cozumel. i like the configuration with the zipper function. the pocket is probably good for a whistle and a compass but not much else...
i'll buy the vest, along with other snorkel gear, next month to take to cozumel.
It zips up the side under the left arm. The pocket is right in front under the yellow part of the vest. It is a black pocket with a Velcro closure. I love this vest.
The vest has a side zipper. The pocket is on the front. Dimension 1 3/4"x 6 1/2"
