New all round diving computer designed for divers who appreciate detailed, yet easily accessible information. XP10 is truly a complete dive computer for all levels of adventure. It displays all important dive and decompression data plus full dive data memory. The XP-10 Computer is Nitrox Compatible from 21-50% with accuracy of 1% increments making it the perfect Nitrox Computer for Recreational Diving. The XP-10 Computer uses the Adaptive Algorithm ZH-L8 ADT. This algorithm increases safety and maximizes bottom time by constantly adjusting the decompression plan during the dive when risk factors like cold water, fast ascents or the potential for formation of micro bubbles are detected. The Computer is designed to inform the diver of important information while on a dive. Toggle through Essential Information during Dive Mode: Max Depth, Temperature, Time of Day; and Activate Backlight; entering any Surface Interval to Better Plan the Next Dive.

If you are a diver who likes diving on Live-Aboard" Dive Boats and want to enjoy your trip rather than having to constantly download dives from your computer's memory, you're going to love the XP-10's 25 Hours of Profile Storage at 4-second Sampling Rate. The Computers Large Memory holds more than a week's worth of diving, high sampling rate preserves all details about the dives. Computer has a Safety Stop Timer which is user activated, it can be set between 1 and 5 minutes for optimal monitoring of your safety stop (default 3 minutes). The XP-10 also allows Basic Choices of Adjustments without the need of a PC so you can custom set it on the fly. Computer can adjust ppO2 between 14.7 and 23.52 psi (1.0 and 1.6 bar).

the XP-10 Computer has both Visual and Audible Alarms, Back Lighting for Low Light or Night Diving Conditions, and Full Watch Functions. No need to carry extra time keepers when you are out on the boat or at an exotic resort. The XP-10 Computer with its Full Watch Function Feature gives wake-up alarm, 12 or 24-hour mode, date and time zone shift for traveling divers. When you do get back to the beach you can count on the XP-10 to have all the data you want to log. Data can be transmitted via infrared interface (IrDA) with Dive Log Software to a Windows PC (optional). Computer is fully Altitude Adjustable to 13,000' (4,000 meters), has a Wait to Fly Mode, and will display other information such as; Current Depth, Decompression Depth, Desaturation Time, Surface Interval, Temperature, Dive Number, Dive Time, Repetitive Dive Number, No-Stop Indicator, Partial Pressure of Oxygen, Residual Nitrogen Information, Battery Condition, Oxygen Toxicity and much more.

The XP-10 can be used in both Imperial (feet) or Metric (meters) Measurements. Computer has a Maximum Depth Display to 395' (120 meters), has a Quartz Clock Function, and is powered by a CR2450 Battery. The Battery is also User Replaceable, so no need to send it to the factory like with other dive computers. The Computer can also be reset for multiple users. This feature is handy when someone else is going to use your computer after you are finished diving for the day. They can clear all the recent calculations so the computer can calculate only their dive information. This is also a great feature when computer is used in a rental gear setting. Comments about Subgear Sub Gear XP10 Wrist Dive Computer:

As was stated earlier, this computer is the old Uwatec Aladin Prime, just under a different name. (ScubaPro's attempt to elevate the quality of their newly purchased Seeman Sub line. Seeman Sub was then renamed "Sub Gear", and ScubaPro rebranded a few of their proven products as Sub Gear products.)

The computer has two buttons, and each button can be manipulated with a quick 'press' or a longer 'hold', giving the user an easy means of navigating its menus. Buttons are large enough to use with 5 mil gloves, and the computer also has a backlight.

Computer can be set up for either air (21%) or any Nitrox blend up to 50%, all in 1% increments.

Ascent rate, surface intervals, no-fly times, adjusting/lowering max ppO2, audible alarms, auto-on water contacts, mandatory deco stops, etc. Many, many features.

I personally have used this computer down to +120', salt water and fresh water, have used it with an odd 27% Nitrox, in the West Pacific and Gulf of Mexico, and each time without any problems. I am also able to upload my dives to my home computer (through infrared) and view my dive profiles.

One thing that makes it less appealing than some of the others is its size. Computer is 2 3/8" in diameter and 1 1/8" thick. (That only affects the aesthetics of it though.)

Frankly, I have no qualms about this dive computer. It does everything that I need it to do and it's easy to use.

Suggest that the buyer download the pdf manual, and also enroll in the course at DiveComputerTraining.com on the XP10. (Nothing wrong with FULLY understanding your new dive computer.)

Comments about Subgear Sub Gear XP10 Wrist Dive Computer:

Sub Gear is a sub company of Scuba Pro so it's very good quality. The computer software it comes with is not very user friendly but I didn't really care about that anyways.
