Is Sub Gear Steel Comp Mask White Scubapro or Subgear?
ANDREW G
I am not sure, but I will check. I can tell you that it is an awesome mask for the price. I freedive a lot and it is outstanding and low volume. It does take getting used to since it changes your perception of things since the lenses sit so close to your face. I own the clear mask.

Subgear and Scubapro are both owned by the same company, Johnson Outdoors.
If you are purchasing a higher price item like a Reg or Dive computer there are slight differences for the warranty coverage of the items, but for something like a mask there is virtually no difference at all.
You should start to think of Scubapro and Subgear as one in the same. You will find the same great quality in both product names. This mask does say Subgear on it but I won't ever buy another mask. It has an extremely soft skirt and supple feel to is. The separate lanes offer added flexibility but it is not meant to folded in half.

Sub Gear was a Scubapro brand that is now discontinued. The Steel mask is currently manufactured under the Scubapro brand. We may have some Sub Gear ones left in stock. However, the mask is identical except for branding.
