About Princeton Tec League 100 LED Light

Light weight and comfortable shape make Princeton Tec's brand new handheld waterproof to 330' (100 meters) dive light, the League 100, the ideal backup light in the water. The League 100 even feels good enough to become your favorite on dry land. This unobtrusive light hides out of the way until it's turned on. The sculpted shape (12 degree angle) makes it feel like an extension of your hand and it provides impressive output for its size.

The first thing you'll notice is the specially designed shape. Princeton Tec contoured the bodies to fit your hand naturally, reducing or eliminating fatigue during long dives or other extended use by minimizing the amount of effort necessary to securely grip the light. The result is one of the most comfortable, easiest to grip handhelds available. The large switch is easy to use even while wearing gloves. The lock prevents accidental turn-on and battery drain in your gear bag as well as accidental turn-off while diving in tight quarters. Pre-lubricated o-rings and 4 included AA Alkaline Batteries make the light ready to dive straight out of the box. The large strap loop makes lanyard or carabiner attachment easy.

Light gives off 150 lumens of power from 1 Max bright LED with a burn time of 10 hours on a set of batteries. Light is lightweight coming in at a mere 7 oz (203 g) with the batteries, so you'll never even know it's there. Light includes a wrist lanyard, is available in 5 color choices, comes with an Owner's Manual and is covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

So far I've only used this in clear water looking into holes and cracks in wrecks and rocks. I also played with it on the surface at night. The light is nice and comfortable, it comes with a lanyard for easy retention, and the locking switch is easy to use. The beam is plenty bright, has a nice focused hot spot with no weird artifacts or dark spots in it, and a nice even ring around the hot spot. It's not a really wide beam, so it is probably best just for highlighting things and looking into cracks.
I did lube the O-rings with silicone grease when installing the included Energizer batteries just for safety. Awesome light for the money, and Princeton Tec's lifetime warranty.

DO NOT purchase the princeton tech, league 100. It is useless garbage. In ten years of diving, I have never seen a worse product. I bought this light prior to reading reviews and should have returned after I did, as they all said the same terrible thing. Unfortunately, I decided to take a chance. The light flooded after less than five minutes under water. It is possibly the worst dive light on the market. It does not deserve to be rated with a single star. In fact, it deserves no less than a black hole, if that in fact were an option. Extremely dissatisfied with this light.

Comments about Princeton Tec League 100 LED Light:

I bought this to replace my Princeton Tec Torrent upon recommendation. I found this light to be not as comfortable to hold. It is also very difficult to change the batteries. The beam is not as strong or wide as with the Torrent. In fact, I have just purchased a new Torrent.

Comments about Princeton Tec League 100 LED Light:

I bought this upon recommendation to replace my Princeton Tec Torrent. I like the feel of the Torrent in my hand better, the on and off switch seems to be easier to us. The beam is also stronger and wider in the Torrent. In fact, I have just ordered a new Torrent.

Nice bright light but the first time I took it out on a night dive it leaked after 2 minutes in the water and no longer functioned. Thank goodness I always bring a couple of backup lights. Totally worthless and will never buy again!

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Paul B  Already own 1. Compact, bright, waterproof, reliable. Has lifetime warranty without need to save receipt. Not a diver so can't comment on that application.
na n  How do batteries get changed? I'm having trouble inserting them.
JON O  You place both batteries for one side first in the correct orientation ant then the other side. If you try to put in one battery on one side and then another on the other side, it won't go in.
JAMES J  What is the approx. burn time on rechargeable batteries like the Eneloop 1,900mAh? I need a light that will last about 2 hours on a charge for long night dives.
JOHN S  don't really know, i don't use those batteries but it should be fine
