Comments about Princeton Tec, Sport Flare:

Bought two of these in different colors for a recent trip to Bonaire. 1 burned out mid-first dive on a night dive in 80degF water, and the second burned out mid second dive. Neither light leaked (That is good), so I can only imagine they both overheated. Very dissapointing!

Comments about Princeton Tec, Sport Flare:

While thin light sticks are good to attach to scuba tanks this item is 100 times better. When you night dive and visibility can be less than 6 feet you need a trong light to lead the way. I attach this to the valve are of my tank. If I needed a back up light - this item also serves as a flashlight and has adequate light strength. I purhcased three. One for me and one for each of my kids (1o and 12 yr old). They love it too.

Comments about Princeton Tec, Sport Flare:

It did a excellent job on are night dive in Grand Cayman! I bought one for my wife and me,it dosn't have that annoying blinking, also when you shut it off the cone glows for a long time. If the light happens to blink out you have plenty of time to make it back to the boat or finish the dive, because you can still see your buddy!Well worth the money

              Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
PHIL S  On sale. It's actually too big, so I haven't used it
Shopper  How do I remove the bulb? It twists but doesn't loosen.
DAVID B  Hello, You have to remove the black contact plate from the reflector. Notice that the reflector is spring loaded and can be pushed in and out from the base plate. Look for the open slots with the holding pins on the side of the base plate. Use a small flat head screw driver just to the side of the narrow top of one of the slots to gently pry up the housing of the base plate to allow the holding pin to clear and slide out. Place the screwdriver just to one side or the other of the pin slot to avoid breaking the narrow band of plastic at the top of the slot. Repeat if necessary on other slot to release second holding pin. Now the spring with bulb just slides out. Replace the bulb, insert in spring and re-assemble. Good luck. Dave
