I had the pelican 1400 case which I purchased 15 years ago, and configured the foam to store a binocular. I needed a case to store and transport a pair of shoe mount flashes along with wireless radio triggers, so for a minimal investment l got a replacement foam insert.
The foam is easy to work with and now the flashes are secure. The nice thing about Pelican cases is that although I bought the original case many years , the replacement inserts are still available, that's comforting. I have a...nother larger Pelican case with the padded insert option that I use for my lens collection. Lenses and flashes are expensive equipment and I rely on pelican to protect them.
