A great hood

The best hood I have owned. Spent 2 hours in 60 deg. water removing docks with 50 deg. outside Temp. And 15 knot north Wind No water in and great fit.

The 3mm Hood is a full-featured 5mm wetsuit hood. Built to the same exacting standards as Pinnacle's 7mm hoods, the 5mm hood is ideal for divers who chill easily in warm water, cool water, and hearty cold-water divers. Hood is constructed from 3mm titanium lined nylon 2 neoprene throughout the hood and neck areas, has a large bib that tucks into wetsuit for a better seal and greater warmth, smooth-skin outer surface on bib creates seal against wetsuit, and 3mm face seal with smooth-skin seal. Smooth-skin, large bib, and face seal all keeping water out. The face seal can be trimmed to any desired size. Hood has a non-direct automatic vent that allow air to escape as necessary from the top of the hood while restricting water to re-enter. Hood is black in color and available in multiple sizes.

Shopper  What's the size difference between the medium and the medium-large? My head fits in the medium category, but my neck is 15" in the large category. Advice? Thanks
SHELLIE W  Hood has a pretty long tuck in neck on it. Great hood for the money.
DAVID R  Not all folks are built the same, i.e., our faces are not symmetric. Some folks have a medium head with big ears and some folks have a full neck and medium head. If you find yourself in this situation, a medium may fill like your're chocking, a large may be more comfortable. Note as well, that the bib of the hood is tucked in the wet suit, at least mine is. Comfort is key!
HEATHER D  I don't know the specific difference between the two sizes. Leisure Pro has a fantastic return policy. I would order both sizes and send back the one that doesn't fit. Note that you don't want the neck to be too tight, as that can cause circulation problems, including light headedness - not what you want to mess with while diving! Hope this helps.
IVAN G  I don´t think that I can help you with the size, but I can tell you that the quality of this hood is very poor, mine tear at first use. Don´t buy it, you should to find another brand.

VITA M  I would go with the large. My son wears a large and has a 15 inch neck, he said it is more comfortable.
Shopper  i have a big head and i was hesitating ??? with the XL size that i got, normally i'm Large and my wetsuit is Large as well (in fact the same Pinnacle model that matches this hood) Since the size Large was out of stock i took the risk of getting the XL and fitting too big for me but for the price i decided to purchase it anyways, today i got it right away after i did my order couple days ago (excellent service from LeisurePro!) then i try it right away...i'm SO GLAD the Large was out of stock and i got the XL!!! fits just perfect for my head and still is kinda "tight" but i know is brand new and eventually it will get "better" like other hoods i used before, i just know now that the Large will not fit me at all! so if you have a big head like me and are thinking about getting the Large...Don't do it! get the XL instead! (btw my head is between 23 and 24 inches of circumference at the level of my eyebrows, hope this help!) IMHO: seriously get Pinnacle! one of the best (or maybe the best!) brand of wetsuits out there, excellent quality and even better than some SP or AQLNG brands at an even better price! I've been using them for many years for Cave Diving in Yucatan...and they are outstanding! rocks, lime stone, branches in the jungle, tarantula's bites and a dog chewing my boots once! i saw this other "well positioned" brands at the same time and they just don't last! As we said Pinnacle has the CE aproval = Cave Exploration!
