I like having my gloves thin enough to be able work underwater. I have been using 2 mil reef gloves diving Table Rock lake which works well until you hit about 60-80 ft range. This glove keeps my hands warm enough at 80 ft and I can still use my hands well.

Does the glove have a good rubber grip on the palms? Would you be able to hold the shaft of a sling spear?
CRAIG B
There are no rubber grips on these gloves. As to if you can hold the spear, not sure
JOHN A
The gloves don't have a rubber grip, they have a ridged pattern from the palm all the way up to the finger tips. Although I haven't used my pole spear (only used the speargun last vacation) with these gloves I think they should have a sufficient grip.

are they waterproof ??
Steve S
No they are not waterproof, but they will keep your hands warm.
MATT T
These gloves are not waterproof. They are made of neoprene/wetsuit material. They are awesome though and I have loved mine.
GREGORY M
They are dive gloves. Not waterproof. Good thermal protection for diving/snorkeling. Very flexible. I've used them for non-diving applications in old, wet weather and they provide good protection.
JASON N
No there wet gloves but very warm
JOHN T
they are not waterproof. they do function as neoprene will byl keeping your hands warm by trapping a layer of water against your skin.
JOSEPH L
These are like a wetsuit. They let a small amount of water in which warms by your body heat. As long as the water is not real cold you will be comfortable, but your skin is exposed to moister. I hope this helps!

the answer you need is in description
HEIDI S
They are not. They are made of wetsuit neoprene, so they warm/protect in the same way as a wetsuit.

Why Did You Choose This?
SCOTT R
I tried this wet suit on the fabulous Demo Day in 55 degree water under my 3mm. It worked great. I was warm for the entire dive and only needed 8lbs of weight since it doesn't add any buoyancy at the surface.
