About Pinnacle Merino-Karbon-Flex 4mm Glove

The Karbon-Flex 4mm Glove is made for diving in very cold waters, specifically in applications where there is wear and tear on the palms, such as wreck diving, salvage, hunting, etc. Pinnacle's patented Merino lining adds warmth normally found in thicker gloves, yet does not hinder dexterity. The 4mm Merino titanium lined nylon 2 neoprene is extremely warm, and is complemented with wrist strap to ensure secure fit along with minimizing water transfer. Durability is guaranteed with the Kevlar palm and fingers which not only protect your hand, but they also ensure long glove life.

The Merino lining makes the glove 35% warmer than any other of similar thickness. The Merino also does not promote the growth of bacteria, making it hygienic and reduces odor. The Velcro wrist strap closure is also equipped with a rubber grip tab making donning and doffing easier. Gloves are black in color, has glued and flat-lock stitched seams for strength and durability and are available in multiple sizes.

The Pinnacle Merino-Karbon-Flex 4mm Glove is commonly used for Cold Water, Professional, Recreation and more. The Pinnacle Merino-Karbon-Flex 4mm Glove is popular because customers like the following qualities of the Pinnacle Merino-Karbon-Flex 4mm Glove: Durable, Good Fit, Prevents Water Movement, Warm.

Perfect

The finger tips are very well made, digging around the rocks for ab's they held up very well. Most gloves seem to get holes in them when diving for ab's. I think I will get many years of use out of them rather than just one year from most other gloves.

Not as warm as I'd hoped.

-Many people mentioned the glue on the inside of the glove. I noticed it was abrasive when donning or doffing, but did not notice it while diving. -The hand of the gloves has a texture on it which looks like it might protect the glove from damage and add some grip for the user. -I was hoping the merino lining would add some warmth the the thiness of the glove; I wanted a cold water glove with some flexiblity- but these were not as warm as I was hoping. -More flexible than thicker gloves. -Usi...

I would recommend a glove liner for these due to the glue on the bindings being exposed.

Great hand protection

By

I use them in the cooler water of Michigan and even in 48 deg. water they kept my hands warm. The kevlar palm also is very durable, after 12 dives they still look just about new.

Just got mine and haven't used them yet; I sent them back to get next bigger size. I definitely recommend getting the next size up. They look and feel very nice and durable, very nimble for 4 mil.

Got these to replace my old worn out cold water gloves. I like the merino lining but the seams are glued on the inside and are very rough.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
MATTHEW F  Really good gloves. The (3 or 4 mm) gloves fit a little looser than my others but are the warmest of them all. Hands won't get cold until the water gets below about 45 F
kevin h  I am useing your size chart and it shows size 9.5 or medium. Is this chart accurate? My hands are fat and I thought it would be large. What is the return policy if they are too tight? thanxs kevin
MICHAEL F  The gloves are great but I would go with a bigger size, I think the size chart is off just a little
RAY C  The size chart is accurate and if your worried about your fingers being fat you should be fine because when these gloves get wet they will loosen a bit.
RICHARD S  I think they run a little small
GENE & CLAUDIA F  Depending on how thick your hand is and whether you plan on using a spear gun or camera, I would go for the larger size. I take underwater photos so like have mmore dexterity and my husband does a lot of spear fishing so he likes having a tight fitting glove, yet one that he can easily open manuever his fingers. Hope this helps. These gloves are super warm.
Michael C  The chart is fairly accurate, however every glove is slightly different in how it fits. Pinnacle products generally run a bit small so you may want to try a size Large first. If it does not fit you have 120 days to exchange it as long as they do not touch the water.
