I am 6'1", 48"chest, 41" waist and weigh 230lb. I have long arms. What would be the best size suit, hood and gloves for me??
I am just under 6'4" 193 lbs, 44" chest 34" waist, 34" inseam and 35" sleeve. I bought the large tall. While I have not worn it diving yet it is snug, but feels comfortable. Their sizing chart seems spot on and have the tall sizes. I would suggest looking at the XLT for you since you are a bit broader than me, but have long arms. I bought it in late Sept. and the suit was back ordered, but it came within 2 weeks. If you are not in a hurry to get it wet even if it is back ordered you will probably not wait long.
The Pinnacle was back-ordered, so I ended up getting a Cressi Castoro 5mm. I don't recommend the Cressi, because they don't have in-between sizes, just S,M and L. I later got a Bare Velocity 5/4mm suit in a Medium Tall because I am 6 feet, 165 lbs, 41-inch chest and 30-inch waist. The Bare fits great and I love it. I suggest you chat with a Dive Expert online to help you find a suit in your price range that offers a full range of sizes. Ask them about gloves and hoods, too.
I can't remember exactly what size I ordered (probably 2XL) but the sizing chart was right on. The arms are quite lengthy enough in this wetsuit. I have longer arms (I'm 6'2", 230lbs) and I have extra length in my sleeves and legs (fortunately). With your chest and waist measurements you might wanna size up just to accommodate. I've had nothing but good use with my suit and have recieved lots of compliments on its quality from charter captains and dive instructors.
The arms are a bit tight but long enough and the legs are comfy and long enough. Hope that helps!
