The Hollis DC1 1st Stage Regulator is an Over-Balanced Diaphragm Regulator Design that provides progressively greater intermediate pressure as depth and gas density increases for superior gas delivery under the most extreme conditions. The diaphragm membrane transmits the pressure changes to the internal mechanism eliminating the need for the surrounding water to enter the intricate mechanism. The benefit of this type of first stage design is that none of the internal parts are exposed to contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine or pool acids. These environmental contaminants cause corrosion and mineral deposits to form on the internal mechanism deteriorating regulator performance. The standard Diaphragm Regulator does allow water into the Mainspring Chamber so that the Diaphragm can perform this Transmission of Pressure Changes.

With the DC1 there is a Secondary Environmental Diaphragm Membrane that Seals off the Spring Chamber keeping the First Stage completely Sealed off from the Environment adding a Second-Layer of Corrosion Resistance and the Environmental Sealing Prevents Icing of the First Stage, allowing the Regulator to withstand the rigorous CE standard for coldwater performance.

The First Stage has 5 Low Pressure Ports (LP) with 3/8" Threads and 2 High Pressure Port (HP) with 7/16" Threads. The LP Ports are mounted on a Swivel Turret that allows for ideal low pressure hose routing. One Low Pressure Port points directly down from the first stage providing Easier Hose Routing for Back Mounted Double, Side Mount Cylinders or even for Recreational Divers. The DC1 First Stage Regulator is manufactured from Marine-Grade Chrome Plated Brass and is Nitrox compatible to 40% out of the box. The Regulator weighs 34.88 oz (989 g).

The Hollis 212 Second Stage Regulator is a Pneumatically Balanced Demand Valve Design with a Patented Dynamic Adjustment that once set Automatically Maintains Inhalation Effort throughout the Dive by Compensating for Depth Changes. The Hollis 212 Second Stages also has an Adjustable Venturi System. This simple Dive/Pre-Dive Switch allows the diver to Adjust Inhalation Effort so the Second Stage won't Free-Flow during shore entries or long surface swims.

All Controls are Easy Grip Controls for Precise Adjustments even while Wearing Gloves. The Hollis 212 Second Stage Housing is manufactured from Durable ABS/Polycarbonate. Regulator also comes equipped with a Patented Orthodontic Silicone Rubber Mouthpiece for Comfort and Reduced Jaw Fatigue. Regulator features a 30" (76.2 cm) 3/8" Threaded MaxFlex Hose. The MaxFlex Hose is a lightweight, flexible, braided hose designed to outperform and outlive traditional rubber hoses. The Hollis DC1/212 Regulator is available in a Yoke or DIN Cylinder Connection, comes with a CD Owner's Manual and is covered by a 24 month limited warranty.
