The Ellipse uses an elliptical housing for the second-stage regulator which is made from hi-tech polymers. All the internal components of the Ellipse are a dependable high performance downstream valve design. Once the valve has open the air is channeled by injection to the liquid silicone mouthpiece creating a VENTURI-Effect enhancing the performance. On the top of the housing there is a flow deviator that acts on the VENTURI-Effect, with dive/pre-dive switch.
The Balanced 1st stage MC5 Hyper-Balanced Diaphragm Actuated 1st stage has a lightweight body covered by a protective techno-polymer elastomer shell. The regulator is equipped with one high pressure and three low pressure ports. Internally the 1st stage is coated with an anti-friction anti-corrosion material that reduces resistance and allows the critical components to move freely. This makes the components perform and last longer between annual servicing and increases performance.
Research on internal air passages and incorporating a special assist chamber has lowered the drop of intermediate pressure upon inhalation and has kept this drop at a minimum, guaranteeing higher performance in any situation. Hyper-balancing allows for an increase of the intermediate pressure at maximum depths and when experiencing low pressure in the Scuba cylinder, offering higher performance at maximum depths and during the ascent phase of the dive. The Regulator comes with a Low Pressure 3/8" Threaded Hose, weighs 26.91oz (763g) with the Hose.
The Ellipse Octopus uses the same Elliptical Housing as the Ellipse Primary Model Second Stage Regulator which is made from Hi-Tech Polymers. The Octopus Model has a Bright Yellow Purge Cover and Hose for Easy-Identification in an Out-of-Air-Emergency. The Octopus 3/8" Threaded Hose is 39" (100 cm) in length. All the Internal Components of the Ellipse Octopus are the same as those found in the Standard Ellipse; making Periodic Service Parts the same as the Primary Regulator. The Regulator is Lightweight-and-Compact weighing 5.65 oz (160 g) without the Hose.
The Initial Opening Effort of the Octopus Regulator is Set-Slightly Higher than the Primary Ellipse, once the Valve Opens the Air-is-Channeled by Injection to the Liquid Silicone Mouthpiece creating a VENTURI-Effect Enhancing the Performance. On the Top of the Housing there is a Flow Deviator that acts on the VENTURI Effect, with Dive/Pre-Dive Switch to prevent Free-Flow when the Regulator is not in use. All the internal components of the Ellipse are a Dependable High Performance Downstream Demand Valve Design. The Ellipse Regulator and Octopus come with an Owner's Manual and is covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
The Cressi Mini-Console 2 is a Small Compact Console that houses the Cressi Mini Pressure Gauge and a new, Small, Analog Depth Gauge. The Depth and Pressure Gauges have Chrome Plated Brass Cases and the Depth Gauge is a Diaphragm Membrane Actuated Design. All the Instruments have a Large Circular Easy-to-Read Scales. The Instruments are housed in a Small, Modern Shaped Console Boot, made from Polycarbonate and Desmopan, materials that guarantee Protection from Shocks, Scratches and is Very Light. At the end of the Console, there are two Eyelets for Fastening the Instrument to the BCD or Harness with a Clip or Lanyard.
The Luminescent Face of the 230' Depth Gauge, the first 40' of Depth Readings are in 10' Increments, (which correspond to the area of decompression stops), and are Widely Spaced for Ease-of-Reading. For At-a-Glance Monitoring of Depth, the Face-is-Divided into 3-Different Colored Zones: Green up to 66', Light-Blue from 66' to 130' and Red from 130' to the end of the scale. The Instrument has a Maximum Depth Indicator that Stops on the Maximum Depth Reached during the Dive.
The Mini-Manometer Pressure Gauge Luminescent Dial reads from 0 to 5000 psi. Like the Depth Gauge the Instruments Face is divided into three different Colored Zones: For At-a-Glance Monitoring of Air the area from 600 psi and below is Highlighted-in-Red with a Solid-Bar and Red Stripes. If Gauge is used on Deeper Dives, the Red-Scale Extends and fades to 1,300 psi, this provides for Added-Reserve-Air Indication. From 600 to approximately 3,000 psi is Green and from 3,000 to end of scale is Blue.
The Front Glass Lens is a Pressure Relief Valve. In the event of a sudden Increase-in-Pressure inside the Instrument, the Glass-Rises-Slightly, allowing the Excess-Pressure to Escape. Pressure Gauge is equipped with a 7/16" Threaded High Pressure Hose.
The Aquapro 5 is an economically minded Jacket Style BCD, yet has all the features of higher priced buoyancy compensators. The Durable 420-Denier Urethane Laminated Nylon and Self Draining Mesh Fabric Construction will give years of dependable service. The Aquapro 5 has two unique "Gravity" Ditch-Able Weight Pockets that are attached to the Bellowed Zippered Accessory Pockets with one on either side of the BCD. The Weight Pockets Closures are Squeeze Style" Quick-Release Impact and Corrosion Resistant Fastex Buckles. Just Squeeze" the Buckles and the Weights are released. Each Pocket can hold 10lbs (4.54kg).
The Back Support is Rigid for proper Cylinder Stability, but is Fully Padded for Comfort. The Harness Assembly is an Independent Suspension System that allows the cylinder and the diver to keep proper stability and avoid cylinder shifting on the back, while allowing the BCD's air cell to fully inflate away from the diver not causing restriction or crushing effect as with non-ergonomic designs. Adjustable Sternum Straps along with both Torso Adjustment Shoulder Straps are equipped with Squeeze Style" Quick-Release Buckles.
The BCD has three Over-Pressure Relief/Dump Valves with two located on the left and right shoulders and a third lower valve on the rear right of the air cell. All three can be manually dumped two with pull cords and the other with the Power Inflator Mechanism. BCD is equipped with two Stainless Steel, 2" (50 mm), D-rings on the shoulder straps, and two Plastic, 2" (50 mm) D-rings on the Pocket Lobes, with two additional Snap Hooks for attachment of Instruments and Accessories. BCD comes in 6 sizes from 2X-Small to X-Large with lift capacities ranging from 13 lbs (6.1 kg) to 36 lbs (16.3 kg), is equipped with the new Cressi inflator with 3/8" threaded LP Quick-Disconnect Hose, comes with an Owner's Manual and is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.
