This vest is great with a modification.

By snackrifice

from The ocean.

Pros

  • Distributes weight well
  • Keeps Weight Off Low Back
  • Sizing is accurate

Cons

  • Cannot Hold 26 Pounds
  • Extra Weight Must Be Used
  • Rides Up When You Invert
  • TOO COSTLY

Best Uses

  • Divers With Lowback Issue

This product needs a crotch strap and it would be perfect. I bought mine and put 20 pounds in it. The first time I inverted to dive (freedive) it rode up onto my back and when I reached bottom I had to adjust it. This happened repeatedly. Because I bought it for a bad back, I needed a belt styled like this, so I sewed my own crotch strap into the vest... it works perfectly. Take note OMER, with a crotch strap this is the best belt I have ever owned. For those who want to buy it before (if ever) OMER fixes this issue, it is a simple fix so it is worth the small amount of effort to modify this belt.

Don`t put off buying one of these like I did. It is one of the best purchases I have made in my gear selections. You can adjust your weights preportionatly, and comfortably! Still having a belt to drop at any time. This is a spearfishermans dream.

CARL W  This vest stretches and it has adjustable straps. I have a 42 inch chest now but I had a 48 when i bought it. I would get the XL. I am still using this vest every weekend and it is still holding up.
