About Omersub Cayman Aluminum Speargun

Cayman features a muzzle allowing the use of traditional latex slings with the possibility of using an additional circular sling Cayman is available in sizes 75cm, 82cm, 90cm, 100cm and 110cm and is supplied with a 6 5mm diameter shaft and Top Energy slings

CAYMAN BARREL The Cayman standard barrel is manufactured in heat treated anodized anti-corrosive aluminum and features an integrated shaft guide with an external diameter of 28mm The tube is manufactured by extrusion and then cold drawn The geometry of this barrel increases resistance to bending by 20% compared to a standard circular tube

CAYMAN HANDLE This speargun handle is new, featuring ergonomic and mechanically innovative characteristics The triggering mechanism is highly sensitive and extremely resistant to the traction of the slings When grabbing the handle, the position of the hand is high in relation to the shaft, allowing quick aiming and great absorption of recoil The line release is manufactured in die cast stainless steel and positioned on the side, allowing it to be used also with a reel The safety is also positioned on the side and the reel guide is very slim allowing the space between the reel and the barrel to be reduced to the minimum

The Omersub Cayman Aluminum Speargun is commonly used for Close To Shore and more. One reason why the Omersub Cayman Aluminum Speargun is popular is because of its Good Range.

Comments about Omersub Cayman Aluminum Speargun:

This gun is perfect for the hunting that i do. It is very accurate and has just enough power. I purchased the 82 cm model and on my first day of using it i have killed more fish than i have ever before. I also can reload it pretty fast for a banded speargun. Great gun for the money. I wouldn't recomend this gun for open water or large fish unless you buy a new shaft. I havn't shot anything very large yet with it but the shaft seems flimsy.

Comments about Omersub Cayman Aluminum Speargun:

This is a powerful, cheap, deadly accurate Euro gun classic. The integral guide and smooth crisp trigger make it laser-like accurate.

I have 6 spearguns, and hunt from the shore over a rocky bottom 6 to 8 times a month: this is the gun that gets most use.

The only critisim is the noise: the metal wishbone against the metal rail is noisy. The spear also make a "wooshing" sound as it travels through the metal guide. Get a dyneema wishbone and thats half the problem sorted.

The rubbers are Omers 18mm "power" version and optimal. Any average sized male should be able to load it in the water, forget out (shouldn't be trying).

Good hunting, and don't do it on scuba. Spearfishing is ONLY done on breathold...

Comments about Omersub Cayman Aluminum Speargun:

this speargun is just ok the line system is poor. the line has to be run down the shaft through the closed muzzle. accuracy is impacted when the line leaves the muzzle. i did not like that at all i opened up the muzzle and switched to mono. the wishbone is really noisy to load and the bands are really hard to pull, this makes for a hard shot but is almost ridiculous how hard they are to pull. im switching to circular bands and nylon wishbone. im keeping this gun but shop around i wouldnt recommend this gun.

        Questions about this item:

Shopper  Is this an open or closed muzzle?
JACOB R  This is a closed muzzle. There are aftermarket open muzzles you can buy and replace with or it is a fairly easy modification to open it up -- just cut with a dremel. Lots of people have done that. However, I love this gun as is and preferred to leave it closed. You can get a thicker shaft for it- 7mm with mini shark fin tabs instead of the notches, and they fit under the closed muzzle but also allow more strength in the shaft. Notched shafts create a weak point and tend to bend there eventually. Also, it's easy to change the bands out for some thicker ones. I put 20mm bands on it. Love this gun. Hope some of this helps.
Shopper  hey, how long is this gun? 100 cm in inches? from muzzle to butt?
LeisurePro S  this gun is available with a range of lengths of 28"- 44"
