About Omer Stingray Full Foot Fins

The Omer Stingray Full Foot Fins Fixed Blade is characterized by their Thermo-Rubber Foot-Pocket and for the Angle between Foot-Pocket and Blade. The 22 degrees (compared to traditional 15/17 degree). With Traditional Fin Blades an Angle between the Heel of the Foot and the Calf of the Leg remains when the Leg is Extended-to-Kick. This Angle causes a loss of Propulsion. The 22 degree Angled Blade Design accommodates for this Anatomical Characteristic and Ensures Maximum Efficiency throughout the Kicking Cycle. The 22 degree angle results in Optimizing the Power of the Push through the Water Relative to Effort.

The use of Thermo-Rubber of Two-Different-Stiffness Compounds Increases Comfort over Normal Foot-Pockets. The Non-Vented Blades of the Stingray are produced in a Low-Modular Polypropylene Material. Extending from the Foot Pocket are Side Rails which add Stiffness to the Blade and prevent Water from Spilling" over the Outer Edge of the Blade. The Blade of the Fin is also channeled. The Side Rails and Channels Focus the Movement of Water Down the Surface of the Blade Increasing Power. The Foot Pocket is equipped with a Large Rubber Pull-Tab making Donning-and-Doffing Easier. The Stingray Fin is Black in color and is covered by a 24 month limited warranty.

The Omer Stingray Full Foot Fins is popular because customers like the following qualities of the Omer Stingray Full Foot Fins: Comfortable, Efficient.

Comfortable and Efficient

Great Fins, get a size larger if you plan on using socks.

Foot Pockets Great! Blades Terrible.

Foot pockets are the most comfortable ever. True to size. Blades are terrible. Very floppy. I'm calling OMER today to see if I can change out the blades to carbon fiber. I'm 6'4' 240. The blades have no power. 'Probably will be perfect with CF blades. Don't buy these. Go straight to CF.

Omer Stingray Sizing

By

The sizing was completely off. The webiste says 13-15, and 14-15. The fin itself said 15-16. I am a size 14 or 49 and this fin foot was massively too big. Went one size down and fits well. However, now I need to return. Would have been easier if the website (including Omer's own website) was accurate. I only rated this low for inaccurate sizing. Very happy with the fin in the proper size.

I wear a size 8 and ordered the 7-8 but they were too big to wear barefoot, got the 5-6 and it was a snug fit, felt good underwater, first pair of long fins so I cant compare with anything else

I'm using these for free diving. These are the first free dive fins I've used and I'm very pleased.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
MIKE P  These were the best deal for the most fin at the time. I still think they are great fins and would buy omer again.
MIKE P  These were the best deal for the most fin at the time. I still think they are great fins and would buy omer again.
Ashley M  I have a narrow foot. I normally wear a size 8 in women's running shoes. How big is the pocket for the foot? Please give me depth, length and width.
EDWARD S  The foot pockets are WIDE and larger than the size would suggest. Not for narrow feet.
Arian R  Can the blades be exchanged for fiber or carbon blades?
Frank L  These are a polypropylene blade. They do have Carbon blades available, but we do not carry them.
Marilyn S  The description of these fins is incorrect. It describes the Stingray Carbon. These are the plain Stingray and are fixed blade. The description should read: These new fixed blade fins are characterized by their thermo rubber foot-pocket and for the angle between foot-pocket and blade being 22 degrees (compared to traditional 15/17 degree). The use of thermo rubber of two different stiffness compounds increases comfort over normal foot-pockets. The 22 degree angle is the result of trying to optimize the power of the push through the water relative to effort. The blades are produced in a low modular polypropylene.
