my question would be if i can swim with these like a bathing suit? reason im asking is because reviews on the mares rash shorts say they are loose and meant for under a wetsuit.. are these the same? or can i dive in them alone without anything else on?
thats what i needed to know thanks
These are more like a rash guard, very thin and very comfortable. They are not loose at all, very tight. During the summer time, I wear them alone without anything else. Since they are so light, I don't even need to use weights. During the winter time since the water is colder, I wear them over a 5mm dive suit for the camo and it works great. Hope this helps.
Be safe and good luck.
Yes you can swim with this suit, Its a rash guard suit and can be worn over a wetsuit Too.
Not sure about jellyfish protection but fine when I distance and recreationally swam. So yes as swimsuit. How would you wear something loose under a wetsuit?
yes. the shorts (and top) are lycra and thus stretchy and can be worn singularly or over a wetsuit. i did purchase these to wear for a freshwater spearfishing expedition but ultimately with the water being both cloudy (so no spearfishing) AND warmer than expected i just wore the lycra solo (both top and bottom) next to my skin and they worked fine for distance swimming.
thing is i go off the beach a lot and when i go past 5pm its pretty choppy out there. but i dont use a wetsuit and want something that'll help from jellyfish ? right product you think?
