Nice suit but doesn't fit well

By

I bought this suit for our vacation in Jamaica where I did 13 dives and a Rescue Diver course. The suit seems to be a decent quality and generally I like it. There are two things that I do have issue with: 1. Inside the suit there is a label that states this suit is NOT intended for diving. I don't know if that is just a legal disclaimer because, being a shorty, it doesn't offer arm and leg protection. I bought this suit from a dive site for diving so why is this suit not for diving? 2. Based on the sizing chart I ordered the 3XL, which I am usually an XLT or 2XL. I am 6'2" and 240 lbs so I am tall and proportional. The suit seems like it was made for someone shaped like a pear. The shoulder and neck area is tight, the chest fit is perfect, and the hips/legs are baggy. It is basically a decent suit and it fit my tropic diving needs well but I wish it fit better. Leisure Pro was great as usual with fast shipping.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Jay C  Is there a chart for proper thickness to water temperature?
RONAL C  not that I found. I just used personal experience
CHARLES C  It is too subjective. What is warm enough for me may be too cold for someone else. Actually, proper fit and coverage is more important. Too loose will be colder no matter how thick. Personally, I think if you need more than 2mm in a shorty then you should have a full suit.
frida R  Hi, what is the difierent in size between mens and youth, which is the dimensions?
Steve S  That is a very difficult question to answer as there are many sizes and corresponding measurements for this suit. If you send height, weight, waist size and chest measurement, I will be able to help you better with sizing.
GEORGE A  Hey Frida, There must be some kind of a mix up, I did not purchase the item mentioned so I don't have an answer for you, very sorry. George A.
Chris G  not sure if this will help but I purchased this in a medium and it fits perfectly I am 155lbs @ 5'6" I have an average build, I believe the youth sizes are shorter in the torso and narrower in the shoulder hope it helps
