What is the size of the 65'?
Will it fit in a BC pocket?
Never had any issues with finger spool entanglement. Must use correctly. As previous commentator said, do not use spools and reels without proper instruction. You can kill yourself.

Easily fits on a BC or drysuit pocket
It's about palm sized and fits nicely in a BC pocket, however, without a reel it is difficult to use. I spent so much time ensuring it wouldn't tangle that I would become distracted from diving. So, I'll keep it but plan to buy a reel to make it useful and ....easy. Hope this helped.
I went to Cozumel and for drift diving there you needed to have a spool and a sausage. It is ok to put it in a BC pocket. I cannot remember if I did that or clipped it to a D-ring on the BC. I never actually deployed the sausage and spool as the divemaster did this for the whole group at the end of the dive to summon the boat. It is important for an inexperienced diver to try to avoid using the spool unless separated from the group because it is easy to get tangled in the cord and panic.

Yes it will fit in a BC pocket
From memory, it is about 3.5inch diameter and about 1.5 inch high. It fits easily into a BCD pocket. Beware that these would easily drop out of the type BCD pocket that has no closure flap/zip/velcro. I keep one in a thigh pocket attached to my drysuit for cold water. When diving warm water, I use a 3mm wetsuit with with shorts over it with two cargo pockets at the thigh. These will fit several things including a finger spool, backup light and SMB in one thigh pocket.
I also keep another finger spool clipped to the butt ring under my tank.
Good to dive with two of these. Unbelievably handy.
