About Oceanic Probe LX BC

Our equipment should enhance, not hinder the joy and exhilaration of diving. Nowhere is this more important than with BC's, where comfort and freedom of movement must be balanced against function and durability. Responding to this challenge led Oceanic design engineers to create BioFlex - a unique "living fabric" that stretches flexes and conforms to the body.

BioFlex is an extraordinary fabric, which stretches, fully inflated up to 30% over conventional nylon or polyurethane BC materials, the idea being that if a material could stretch while remaining airtight, you could make smaller air cells, creating less bulk and drag underwater while achieving high volumes of lift when required. BioFlex eliminates chest squeeze, conforms to the diver's body and provides a slim, body hugging profile. Oceanic's patented QLR Quick Lock & Release System is standard equipment on the Probe LX.

Your weights stay in position throughout the dive and do not shift around affecting buoyancy or position in the water. The weight pouches are simple to load and easy to release. Located on the back of the BC on either side of the tank cradle, two Rear Trim Weight Pockets provides greater integrated weight capacity and better attitude underwater, pockets carries up to 10 non-dump-able pounds. Exterior abrasion points of the Probe LX are covered in our new "Fadeless" 1600-denier ballistic nylon - tough stuff that will hold up to years of extreme diving and keep that "new look" longer.

Pre-Bent Stainless Steel D-rings Welded and slightly bent for easy, one-handed attachment. Ergonomically designed to be functional and easy to use in any dive position, the Alliance Integrated Inflator provides a full range of airway exhaust/inflation control. Simply press a button to produce precise flow for trimming dive attitude or maximum flow for major changes in buoyancy. A large exhaust valve creates a flow rate higher than the inflation rate of the power inflator, improving diver control during ascents.

The Oceanic Probe LX BC is commonly used for Cold Water, Extreme Depths, Professional, Recreation, Warm Water and more. The Oceanic Probe LX BC is most used by customers who consider themselves to be a Advanced, Advanced Diver, Recreational Diver among others. The Oceanic Probe LX BC is popular because customers like the following qualities of the Oceanic Probe LX BC: Comfortable, Durable, Easily Adjustable, Lots Of Features.

OK....This BC is really got it all....That's good AND bad. Lots of lift and D rings, but it is really really bulky and heavy. It performed well in the water. Easy to trim, but a pain to pack! Really a good BC, but just felt too winter coat like (if that makes any sense). I just traded this [...] for a Seaquest Black Diamond...We'll see how that goes.

Comments about Oceanic Probe LX BC:

I use the products on Lake diving and retrieval of sunken property. I also have used it on a Caribbean Aggressor fleet trip. Both are two very different climates and the Oceanic Probe LX proved itself time and time again. Very good product! I would always recommend this to my friends and fellow diving colleagues.

              Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
RUSSELL M  Big pockets in a jacket design that allows for easier floatation on the surface.
victor s  HI...I am considering this BC and am unsure of the size to get. I am male, 5'11" and 171 lbs. I wear a 5 mm wetsuit with jacket and integrated hood and need 17 - 18 lbs. of added weights. What size would you recommend for me?
              JOHN B  medium
Shopper  i'm a novice and i'm considering purchasing this bcd that boasts an 'integrated' weight system which i ascertain means it comes with weight accommodations in front and back but i have to get the weights --is that right? if so, i'd have to get 'quick-release dump' weights for the front but what brand/type? i suppose since the back weights aren't usually dumped then i could just load up with 5lb on each side with coated weights? thanx in advance for your input/answers.
JASON G  It's a great BCD I've been using it for years and am currently using it off the coast of Okinawa Japan. The two 5 lb max weight pouches in the back are non-ditchable. The front of the BCD has two pouches that are secured with velcro and a clip which you release and then tug out and ditch is you found yourself in that sort of situation. Real easy to use and lasts. Hope this answered your questions.
