I'm trying to decide what to get. Why did you pick this one?
A number of reasons: This regularor is reccomended for cold water diving, which I do. The MaxFlex hose helps with jaw fatigue, which I sometimes have. At the time that I bought this reg LeisurePro had it on sale at a great price.
Hope this helps.
It was a great buy for the money at the time of purchase. The FDX-10 DVT will be the best regulator that will serve you in any type of environment that you will dive in be it cold or warm water diving. It is also a very easy breathing at all depths. I have made over 30 dives with mine and found it to preform as described . I hope this has been helpful have a great diving time!
I purchased them a few years ago because they seemed good quality for a mid-range price. I have used them on about 20 dives over 3 years and they are still going strong.
However, I have been advised by a dive master friend that those types of regulators wear out quickly (a year or two) because the types of rubber or material they use.. I would get a divemaster's opinion first before buying.
I have noticed that the air delivery is a little tough once at depth and the adjustable air delivery lever does not seem to do anything FYI.
In conclusion, I would buy these again of I was just beginning to dive but I would get them tested/services by pros every 6months!
Now that I am more expierenced, I would shell out a little more for a more rugged setup... Again, getting a pros opinion first.
