About Oceanic Vortex V-6 Full Foot Split Fins

VROOOM! The Vortex V-6 is for the Warm-Water Diver, Snorkeler, or Free-Diver that wants Maximum Power Generation, Response, and Acceleration out of every single turn. The V-6 is Extremely Lightweight, yet delivers greater speed and efficiency than most open heel fins. The V-6 combines the Patented Design Concepts divers have come to expect from Oceanic with material that enhance performance and style. Compared to conventional fins, the V-6 is up to 30% Faster and more Efficient, with Less Effort, Stress and Strain resulting in Greater Comfort and Control.

The Oceanic Vortex V-6 Split Full Foot Fins are a Precision Blend of Hydrodynamics and Materials Technology for Ultimate Comfort, Efficiency and Performance. Fins are manufactured from a Composite Material consisting of a Blend of Thermal Plastic Rubber (TPR) and Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate. The technological edge is achieved with the Patented Nature's Wing Technology by Splitting the Blade to Generate Highly Efficient Thrust or Lift like an Airplane Wing, while reducing the Strain on the Muscles of the Leg and Hips by allowing the water to drain between the Dual Blades. With the Vortex V-6, Oceanic's design team has worked long and hard to create just the right combination of fin size, shape, and angle.

The Oversized Rails add Rigidity to the Oversized Blade for Increased Lift and Efficiency. These Fins are perfect for the Traveling Divers weighing (size dependent) 2.38 to 3.88 lbs (1.08 to 1.76 kg). The Oceanic Vortex V-6 Fins are available in 5 sizes of US 4-5, 6-7, 7-8, 9-10 or 11-12, comes in 5 color choices of Blue, Black, Pink, Yellow or Ice Blue and is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

Fantastic Fins!!

Bought these fins specifically to complete the PADI Divemaster Watermanship 800 yard snorkel fin. I completed it in an amazing 12 minutes flat! These fins rock. Left my other fins and booties at home when I dived Grand Cayman. In 12 dives, never chafed or caused discomfort. Also significantly improved my air consumption. These fins knocks the sox off of my $175 Mares Quattro Excels and Mares Avanti Quattros! Will consider the the Oceanic V8 open heal fins (similar to these) for colder ...

Ok Fins

Sized too small, would need next size up. Unfortunate it does not go larger that 11-12.

V-6 Vortex fins

By

from Pittsford, NY, NY, US

These are the best flippers I ever used for fresh water. They feel comfortable and give me a lot of thrust with very little effort.

great travel fins too!

By

I bought these in Hawaii on a whim, looking around Captain Jack's Dive Locker ( a great store) in Kailua while my wife looked for a snorkeling vest. Never looked back; great fins, light, easy to maneuver, easy on/off, comfortable. I've never used them diving, so can't say, but for snorkeling and a little easy free-diving they're great. They're also good travel fins, MUCH lighter than the other full-foot split fins I've seen. They're a little long, can't get them in my suitcase so I bought a fin bag to carry on the plane. BTW, I bought the open heel version of these and they were WAY too heavy. Kona entries are rocky, so I'm waiting for a lightweight pair of open heel split fins to come along, but for now, I just tough it out on the rocks. These fins are worth it!

Love em'

I'm a womens size 9 and the 7/8 size fits perfect on me. I've used my first set over 50 times (snorkel/skindive/scuba) and highly recommend these fins. They're very comfortable, durable, and make my speed impressive. They stir up little sediment and greatly reduce leg cramps compared to other styles I've used. I love these fins so much I'm planning to order a second pair in another color :) A+

Very pleased

By

I purchased these fins for each of my daughters who have been certified for about two years. They both liked the ease of getting into them and the fit. They didn't feel any fatigue in their legs and thought they propelled them through the water as needed. They were great for scuba diving and snorkeling.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
WILLIS R C  They have high reviews, and I know this is a top quality split fin. We bought it for our niece.
PETER S  I really enjoy these fins for both scuba and snorkeling. They work well with the traditional flutter kick. They don't work as well with a butterfly kick. Great fins. I found them to be a little on the tight side for my size 12 feet out of the water, but once in the water everything was fine. No problems. Great fin for the money.
Carrell N P  I'm switching from an open heel fin which has always been difficult for me, heavy & bulky. I tend to get leg cramps on occasion while diving and after reading the reviews of this fin it seems like it may be the best fin for me. Diving with my husband in Grand Turk next month.
T. Anders M  Online research directed to me to this product.
jim m  Saw them in a local store and was impressed, but not at that store's price. Wife is very pleased with the performance and fit.
JOE F  looked good and worked great! Fit was wonderful and after a week of 3 dives per day, no foot sores or anything - we would buy these again
Dorothy H  Size chart is confusing. I wear a ladies size 8 shoe. What size should I order? I am guessing that the sizes are shown in men's. Thanks
mike w  I no longer have those, but I did get a pair of mares, which were better. I wear a womens 9 1/2 and got a mens 7`1/2-8 1/2 size. If that helps
SHANNON M  I agree...the size chart is confusing. My fins are size 6-7, and I wear 7 to 7.5. I would suggest going with size 7-8. I'm not sure these fins are sized in "men's" sizes and think they would be small for most men, especially in width.
K P  Looking at Ocean Vortex V-6 fins in the pink. What size is appropriate for a woe's 10?
Frank L  Probably a 7-8, but you would need to try them on to confirm size.
