Most Liked Positive Review

Very happy with this BCD but not LP

I am disappointed with Leisurepro on this transaction. I ordered the wrong size, my fault. LP paid to ship it back and also ship me the correct size. Very nice and I appreciate that. My problem: I ordered a new BCD and the first one I received was in fact new, but when I received the second BCD (in the correct size) it was definitely not new. The second BCD was not in its original packaging, did not contain any manual, and had plenty of mileage on it. It was probably never submerged but I ca...

Most Liked Negative Review

Almost to good

Its a great BCD but the quick release weight system is not fun. Each side maxs out at 10LBS, I had 8LBs and could not get the thing to snap into place. My buddy had the new Probe from Oceanic with the same weight system and we ran into the same problem. I would recommend never taking the weights out once they lock in. The way it butts up together there isn't any room to push it in more. Test this out once you get it so you don't waste time during your dives.

Great BC - very comfortable.

Great BC - very comfortable. Lumbar support is a great feature. Lots of rings to attach your stuff to. Liked it much more that ScubaPro knighthawk I had before. Can't beat the price too.

Good price5

Oceanic's Best BCD

from Virginia Beach, VA, US

On the Plus Side: This is my primary open water BCD. It's great and doesn't take too much space, which is essential to my continuous traveling. The side pockets are large enough to carry a vast number of items, yet not too large that it will get on your way. There are plenty of D-rings to attach all your accessories, although I hate extra hanging stuff during my dives. On the Negative Side: Oceanic did not built a dump valve on the right shoulder side, which sometimes would be nice to have. Nonetheless, I have learned to work without it. The bottom D rings are a little too far back which renders them almost useless. Regardless of it's couple of shortcomings, I remain loyal to the Oceanic brand and I think this is a great BCD for any dive.

Best BCD I've Ever Used

This is the most comfortable BCD I've ever worn. I'm 5'10", 160 lbs, and 32" waist, and the medium fits perfectly. Seems to be ruggedly built and should last years. Good lift on the surface and great horizontal positioning underwater. I'm using it with Oceanic's Air XS 2 with the 16" corrugated hose.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JOHN R  What sold me was the pockets.
JAMES B  Name brand and it was on sale for a great price
Shane B  I fall into two size categories for this bcd and am looking for some advice on which to choose. My measurements are 5'10", 180lbs, 34" waist, 41" chest. Should I choose medium or large? Thanks!
JAMES B  How snug do you like it? The sizes run true. A large would give you room to grow. A medium should be snug but not real uncomfortable.
THOMAS T  I have a nearly identical frame and the medium fits me. It also depends how you want it to fit, I've had a 250lb 6'2 use my medium and it worked fine. I'm a fan of having the least amount of drag as possible so I've always liked smaller BCDs that don't flop around. Hope this helps.
MIKEAL L  I would suggest a medium for you. I am 5'9" and 215 and have a large. I had to adjust the cummerbund shorter. It fits me but I could probably even fit into a medium. Should fit you just fine
Frank L  If you are using this for warm water mostly, I would say Medium. If you are using a thick wetsuit or drysuit, then you should go with a large, more than likely. We do have the PFF guarantee, so no worries: http://www.leisurepro.com/i/pff.
Eric D  I'm 5'6" tall, 30" Waist, 39" Chest, and weigh 150lbs (without dry suit on.) What size would you recommend for use with a dry suit - I seem to fall between the small and medium if you add a few inches for the suit, so I'm not positive?
Steve S  I would recommend the size Medium if you will be using this with a drysuit.
KEN K  I would recommend a Medium with the suit
HONG S  I recommend the small size. The body size is almost the same for me and you. the size small is little big to me.
HONG S  I recommend the small size. The body size is almost the same for me and you. the size small is little big to me.
JAMES B  Either will work it really depends upon how snug you like it. I would go with the bigger size. In case you gain weight.
PHILIP Y  Medium.
CHRISTOPHER L  I'm 5'-10" tall, 34" waist, 40"-41" Chest and weigh 170lb. I use a 2/3 wet suit and wear a large. I would think a small would be to tight.
EVAN J  DO NOT BUY MEDIUM! Im 5'10" 31"waist 155lbs and the small is BIG, I strap the waist strap completely over and don't even have any velcrow left! I might even try a XS, seriously! You can always send back and swap out.
