About Oceanic Pro-Plus 3

No More Squinting. Dive Computers are supposed to deliver Crucial Data quickly and without Confusion. That's why the Pro-Plus 3 combines a Huge Display Area, Largest Most Legible Digits on the market and an Intuitive User Interface. See it for yourself. Take the Oceanic challenge: When shopping for a new dive computer, compare the displays. When it comes to viewing critical information, which would you rather see at 100' (30 meters)?

Air Time Remaining:
The Air Time Remaining feature Calculates Current Depth, Tank Pressure, Breathing Rate, Ascent Time, and Decompression Status to tell exactly how much time you can remain underwater. The Pro Plus 3 Dive Computer Continually Displays Air Time Remaining via a Numerical Bar Graph in addition to Cylinder Pressure. You may also Display Air Time Remaining in Oversized Digits at any time with the Press of a Button.

Dive Time Remaining:
Dive Time Remaining, like Air Time Remaining provides a 'Real' Number in minutes. This Calculation combines Air Time Remaining, Nitrogen and Oxygen Absorption, Displaying whichever allows less time. The Pro Plus-3 features Push-Button or Automatic Activation, Triggered by Water Contact. A benefit of Push-Button Activation is easily verifying Operation and Cylinder Pressure, but in case you forget, or simply choose not to activate your computer, it can be as simple as jumping in the water.

Audible Alarms with Flashing LED Warning Light and Acknowledgment:
The Pro Plus 3 features a Variety of System and User-Customized Audible Alarms, Alerting you to Situations that pose a Potential Danger, or simply serve as a convenient Reminder. Have you ever had difficulty hearing your computer's audible alarm? Perhaps that little beep signifying a potentially dangerous situation was timed perfectly with some large exhaust bubbles rushing past your ears. You won't miss the Pro Plus 3's Audible Alarm. Once Triggered, the Alarm will sound continuously for 10 seconds. Oceanic knows what you're thinking That's nice, I'll definitely hear the alarm, but isn't that going to annoy me and everyone else in the water?" Oceanic thought of that too. The alarm's job is to get your attention so that you look at the computer. Once it does that, simply press the button and it will stop. You're a responsible diver and Oceanic treats you that way. If you really want to exceed your pre-set maximum depth alarm by a couple of feet to capture that award-winning photograph go ahead!

Air or Nitrox:
The Pro Plus 3 acts simply as an Air' computer until you tell it otherwise, whether that is this weekend or 2 years down the road. As your training and experience grow, the Pro Plus 3 is designed to grow with you, being easily programmed for Nitrox mixtures from 21% to 100%.

Oceanic Personal Dive Computer Algorithm:
Decompression theory can be trusted only as far as it has been demonstrated by actual test dive data. In 1987 a unique series of experiments were conducted by Diving Science and Technology (DSAT). Commissioned by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), these Doppler ultrasound monitored human experiments conducted by Dr. Michael Powell produced the most comprehensive data set that exists for recreational divers to this day. These data were used to validate the PADI Recreational Dive Planner and are the basis of the algorithm used in all Oceanic Personal Dive Computers (PDCs). The ultimate adjustable algorithm" that's the way divers, instructors and Oceanic Pro Dealers refer to Oceanic PDCs. Oceanic's Color-Coded Bar Graphs provide Complete Control of your Margin of Safety for each dive. Want to be a bit more cautious? Make it a personal rule to never enter into the yellow caution zone, or stay one pixel away, or you get the point. Now you can even program several of our PDCs to do it for you with Oceanic's patent pending Nitrogen Bar Graph Alarm; set it once and let your computer alert you when your bar graph reaches that level.

Automatic Safety Stop Prompt:
A Brief Audible and Visual Alarm remind you as you approach 15'(4.6 meters), and an Automatic 3-minute Timer Counts-Down to Zero. As in any other dive mode, you still have access to other pieces of information, and there is no penalty should you choose to disregard the safety stop.

Choose Your Dive Mode Display:
The new Pro Plus 3 is as Versatile Underwater as it is Topside. Upon starting your dive, the Pro Plus 3 will simply display your Current Depth, how long you can stay there and Cylinder Pressure. While many divers have asked for such simplicity and ease of use, you know that with all the Pro Plus 3's features, there must be more. And there is. Simply press the button to see more information. Is this information important to you on a full time basis? Leave it there. Just want to check it and then move on to another display? You can do that too. It's up to you and your new Pro Plus 3.

Other features of the new Pro Plus 3 are: Fast Set Menu with Dual Button Operation, 12/24 Hour Format, Date and Time Stamp, User Friendly Mode Icons, Graphic User Interface recognizable logic of green, yellow and red color-coding in conjunction with bar graphs, the diver has at-a-glance information, automatically compensation for altitude up to 14,000' (4,270 meters), Diver-Replaceable CR2 Battery, Battery Hot Swap, 24-Hour Fly Countdown and Calculated De-Saturation Time, Variable Ascent Rate Indicator, Depth-Dependent Ascent Rate, Smart-Glo Backlighting for Low Light Conditions, 24 Dive On-Unit Log Book Optional Ocean-Log PC Interface and PC Upload, Extended Range Gauge Mode and much more!

The Oceanic Pro Plus 3 can Display in Imperial or Metric Measurements, has an Operational Depth of 330' (100 meters), Displays Pressure from 0 to 5,000 psi (0 to 352 bars) and Displays Temperature from 0° to 99°F (-9° to 60°C), comes in a Durable Impact Resistant Case with Attachment Points for Lanyards or Clips with a 7/16" Threaded HP Hose, and Owner's Manual. Computer is covered by a 24 month limited warranty.

The SideScan is a dual purpose Liquid Filled Compass. The Side Scan Window allows Quick Reference of Large, Easy-to-Read Bearing Indicators on a Luminescent Display for Gun-Sight Accuracy. Or, for divers who prefer Relative Navigation, the Ratchet Bezel can be rotated easily even with thick neoprene gloves. The dial rests on a Precision Jeweled Bearing and incorporates extremely Strong Magnets for super quick response and accuracy. The Compass Bezel has compass headings in 30 degrees numbered increments and indicator marks for every 10 degrees. Great unit for us old fogies

This is a great upgrade to an already great computer. It allows you to progress to a higher level with the addition of 3 gases 2 alogrythims. The main thing that has made these very popular of course is the display. They have the most easy to read uncluttered display available making them the ideal choice for those of us with fading vision. A quick glance is all it takes to get the info you need and the big numbers even make it easy for your buddy to read. The red LED is also a great visual f...

Way to pricey

This is a great computer but so is the pro plus 2.1 I don't think the extra features rate the huge difference in price unless you are a tech diver and need the added features. Save yourself a couple hundered and go with the pro plus 2.1

Great Computer

from Bonney Lake, WA, US

Very easy to read underwater, easy to use menu. Nice to have a built in compass.

Great way to stay connected

from Hoi An, Hoi An, VN

Great way to quickly get information and continue enjoying your dive. Compass is accurate and helps me in leading dives. I have set the alarms and they are loud enough to keep me informed without looking at my DPG the entire dive. I will be ordering the cable and the quick disconnect for 100% utilization of this unit.

Awesome computer. Large display makes it easy to view.

from Raleigh , NC, US

Awesome! Totally resolves the issue that I have trying to read my wrist computer. I don't even need the stick on bifocals in my mask anymore. Worth every penny to me.

Excelllent, Easy to read and use Dive computer!

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Raymond J  My Instructor had 1 its so much better than having to dice with a extra Compass
Jesse W  This was by far the least expensive price I saw on this computer. I like the Oceanic Pro Plus because it has a large easy to read display, the two button interface is easy to use, and I was only looking for an air integrated computer. I like having the tank pressure, depth, and Nitrogen Sat all on one easy to read screen. I considered a wireless air integrated wrist mounted computer, but chose to go for the hosed air instead for simplicity.
Clifford G  was looking for a basic computer for not too much, since I am a one trip a year diver and have just started using Nitrox. It was easy to use, and the large display was nice on the cloudy day in moderate light.
Harlan J  After reviewing my wishes and wants as far as options go and considering the price, this was a stand out computer to own as long as you purchase it from Leisure Pro.. I have a friend with and older model and he is very pleased with his. He paid a lot more for his years ago at the local dive shop and Leisure Pro has made this computer very affordable.
Mike m  Does this computer have the quick disconnect?
BRYANT G  No sorry it does not. Love it anyway!!
Bob B  The quick disconnect is an extra and not an integral part of the computer so normally you will pay more for the quick disconnect and the ad will normally state if it is included. Of course you can also add one afterwordsl
Clifford G  No it does not
Andrew H  There is one available but it is an added cost option. I purchased mine without a quick connect and added later. I would suggest buying with it right from the start, it is worth the added expense.
ROSS C  Quick Disconnect not on this model. Search model SKU: OCNDMPP3CQU MFR: 04.1074.07 I have used both and find the one without stays with your gear and you wont misplace it. East to carry your whole reg. set with you. I have used both and currently using the one with out disconnect. Enjoy! Awesome Comp either way RC
SHAWN M  No, you have to buy that separately.
MARK R  If you buy it with the quick disconnect it will have one. It's additional money for the quick disconnect.
Shopper  Does this include the PC cable?
MARK G  No it does not. you will have to purchase a PC cable separately.
Bob B  Mine did not come with the PC interface. If the ad does not specify it is included I would assume it is not.
RICHARD Z  No it does not!
Daniel W  No
