About Oceanic DIN Conversion Kit for 1999 Year Regulators & Later

You started diving with Yoke style Cylinder Valves, but you feel the Higher Cylinder Pressure available with DIN Cylinders will be an advantage to your Style-of-Diving. Well, this kit will allow you to do just that, Shed-the-Yoke and Increase Bottom time with this 300 bar (4350 psi) DIN Conversion Kit for your current Oceanic Regulators with USA Yoke to DIN, except for the SP5 Series.

Also, Scuba Divers who Travel Overseas will want to have a DIN Adapter in order to adapt to the tanks available at the local dive sites. The Adapter allows you to Easily-Convert your First Stage, if required, so you can use your own gear rather than rental gear! DIN Assembly is constructed from Marine Grade Corrosion Resistant Chromed Brass Higher Pressure will allow you to Extend-your-Bottom Time. Most HP Cylinders are made from Steel, so you can also remove some of the Weight from your Weight System due to the Lower-Buoyancy-Characteristics of the HP Cylinder. The DIN Conversion Kit is covered by a 24 month limited warranty.

Nothing wrong with this part

from NY, NY, US

There is nothing wrong with this "conversion kit". It is the DIN part for a 1st stage Oceanic Regulator, not really a conversion kit, rather a part. The bubble issue that the other diver is referring to is more likely an issue that is not uncommon with Oceanic 1st stages. For some reason I can not explain the allen screw that holds the exterior "screw" to the plastic fitting on this part comes loose frequently. I say this because I have four Oceanic regulators and it happens to all of them. Also several other divers who dive Oceanic regs have reported the same problem. Despite this somewhat annoying issue, I love my Oceanic regs.

After two dives on the new regulator with the DIN adapter there was a small air leak coming from the body of the reg. I put the yoke back on and re-tested, thinking I was going to return the reg itself, but it didn't leak at all. So I put the DIN back on and sure enough, little air bubbles. There really isn't enough air escaping to make that big of a difference so I'll mess with it a little more but I'm not all that concerned. I wouldn't reccomend this product only because I'd go with another brand of regulator all together.

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
RICHARD W  had 2 old alpha 8's and i use DIN
ROBERT B  gotta make some older regs work on DINtanks
Jason C  I have a Delta 2 regulator with the original 1st stage. Will this DIN conversion work?
KEVIN F  If your first stage is anything but a SP5 and it was made after 1999, then yes. If you got your Delta 2 with a SP5 series, then you need this one: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-ocndaksp5/oceanic-din-conversion-kit-for-sp5-series-regulators?RRref=productPage If your first stage is anything but a SP5 and was made before 1999, you need this: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-ocndak/oceanic-din-conversion-kit-for-pre-1999-model-regulators?RRref=productPage
BERNIE W  Is this the one for an Oceanic 95/px2 regulator? I bought in 2005 new yoke but getting ready to start tech and converting everything to DIN now.
RICHARD W  Short answer: Think so, yeah. real answer: Px2 are unbalanced piston regs. Had same idea you had I think. No good if you want to use on a stage below100'. Breathe hard. Iwould never use these on my back gas. Also, never o2 cleaned, so I wouldn't use on mixes above good ol 32. Save your pennies and get some good breathers. Balanced piston, balanced second stage. HOG makes some cheap good breathers. Google em before you spend your coin.
Michael W  That is the correct part needed to convert your PX2 from Yolk to DIN. Have fun with Tech!
