Comments about Oceanic B.U.D Backup Dive Computer:

Bought this last year for a back up and have used it on several dives. Just clip it on and basically forget about it. Works exactly as advertised and easy to set up. Also came with the free computer class (which really wasn't needed). If you're thinking about it, go ahead and get one.

..we bought two of these one failed right away, bad battery rusted & corroded . Other worked fine..old stock from LeisurePro??. I like these for a back up only & well priced. as we have had computers fail during a dive this is a good idea. We used to carry an old computer in a pocket but this is better. now wait & see what Oceanic will do about the broken one!!!

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

          Questions about this item:

Shopper  How to access past dives?
KEVIN F  This product is intended as a back up computer. It only allows access to the last dive. It does not store multiple dives in a digital log. http://www.oceanicworldwide.com/us/computers/bud-1924/
Jim R  We are looking for a good - easy to use - back-up dive computer. What models/brands do you recommend and why?
GEORGE J  The Oceanic B.U.D is a great companion to any other Oceanic and even some other brands. It has a selectable algorithm that helps to match it with your computer. I also have an Oceanic VT3 and it works great alongside it.
SANDY R  Based upon info., this computer, apparently, needs to have the nitrox level set at the beginning of each dive. How long, in terms of minutes, will the nitrox level set hold, from the time you set it, until the time you start your dive? Also; can this computer be used to dive either air or nitrox? Thank you. Sandy
SEAN E  Yes, the BUD has to be set before each dive - it is a safety setting. You will have about 15 minutes before it will reset to air. You can dive this computer using up to 40% nitrox so air is included.
