This is a no bells and whistles wetsuit. It doesn't have the stretch of the more expensive brands so if you are between sizes, go up. All that being said, it works flawlessly and the snugness disappeared in water. My environment is rough on wetsuits and at this price range it doesn't hurt to replace when needed. Better yet, because it's a two piece, I don't even have to replace the whole suit.

Waterman: A name given to a person who works or spend his life on, in or around the water, NeoSport couldn't think of a better name for their new 7mm John. With its thermal bonded diamond plate knee pads, this John is all business. Designed to be used and abused and the best part it's an incredible value, so replacing the John a few times a season will not eat the profits of long day in the water. Suit is made from premium nylon 2 neoprene rubber with glued and sewn seams for strength with spot taped at stress points for added durability. Anatomical cut pattern for a comfortable fit.
The Johns ankles are equipped with seals to reduce water exchange for added warmth. All the suits edges are trimmed with spandex further easing donning and doffing and adding strength and durability. This 7mm Farmer John Bottom has a hook and loop shoulder closure for comfort and easy donning and doffing. When worn in conjunction with the Waterman Step-In Jacket (see SKU: NSPWJC), the double layering of 14mm of neoprene rubber from the upper legs to the shoulders and torso will give you hours of warmth even in the coldest conditions. I am 6'2" and 215 pounds, large boned , 45 inch chest. would 2xl be the right size? I probably wont be getting any smaller :) my pants size is 36 waist x 32 lenght, but probably fit more comfortably in a 38 x 32, although that is a little loose ...tight jeans always seem to win the choice game :) i am considering getting the 'john' and shorty

NO. This would be an uncomfortable fit. To be honest this suit is cheap for a reason. Pony up the cash for a better piece off equipment. You are worth it!

Buy it. You'll see. Inferior quality knee pads, a suit that is poorly cut in general, and especially for a tall person (i am 6'1"). The suit is the bottom of the line. I bought it before I knew way I was doing. You get what you pay for. Why don't you invest in a nice 8.5mm semi dry?

Just got back from St. Maartin yesterday, used it for the first time ever. LOVE it! I'm 6', 215lbs, work out and run lots so athletic build. Mine is XL and I believe is perfect fit.

I am 5' 11" 225lbs 46" chest and wear 36x34 jeans and my shirts are usually 2xl long or tall to fit my shoulders and arms... I have an XL and its is a good fit, if anything a little big. I bought it when I was 215 lbs I have both pieces and have been happy with the fit and durability.

No.....not since you are just purchasing the John. If you were going to order the shorty that goes along with it, I would have said maybe but just the Farmer John should fit you perfectly.

Brian, I am 6'1" and 198 lbs. I purchased the XL and it fits just right. My son is 5'11" and 160lbs and we purchased the large and it seems to fit him just fine, not to loose but not to tight. Hope this helps. Thanks

If it help you out any, I am 6'1" 205lbs. I have a 41" chest and a 39" waist and I use a XL. It is a really warm wetsuit I used it in deep water quarry diving.

I wouldn't recommend this neosport I'm 6 and 180lbs got a large bottom and too both a bit loose top is unusable cause it let's too much water in.
Then only after a several dives bottom split by the back along the stich.. Such a low quality item. I've had Henderson hyper stretch and gold. Neosport doesn't compare. So my advice, probably large will fit u better, but it will let water in, cause it's not stretchy, and will break apart on u.
