I know this style is a loose fit but if I ordered again, I would order down one size. I used this while snorkeling for 7 days straight. I found it would baloon up some times. Easy to wash out and let dry for the next day's use.

It's not thick at all and dries super fast. It's more of a nylon materiall.

This is the 3rd one I have bought for my husband and son. My husband scuba dives in his and my son snorkels. They don't know much water at all...not at all like a t-shirt and they dry very quickly.

If you don't like the tight fitting rash guard shirt then this is the shirt for you. I've used it for snorkeling, scuba, swimming, or just hanging at the beach. Ive never been sunburnt with this on. I really love the small elastic loop at the bottom front of the shirt that allows you to tie your short into the shirt so it doesn't ride up in the water. It's a great shirt I've been using it for years. When this one finally tears or rips I'm going to buy another one just like it.

Yes it definitely is looser and much thicker than other shirts in its class. I actually have two and after 4 years still use them thru the summer.

Yes, the material is a little heavier than most rash guards and it fits like a T-shirt not skin tight at all.

Does Neosport make a short sleeve water swim shirt like this one for women? In this price range?

Yes. It's possible the sleeves are a bit shorter and the neckline is cut lower on the women's style. Looks to me like the fit is slimmer also. These are guesses based on online images however. I did purchase a men's long sleeve version in a size small for my wife. Measurements are equivalent to a woman's size medium. She is very happy with it!
