About NeoSport by Henderson 5/3mm Vented Bib Hood

Layering is the key to warmth when we scuba dive. By layering we breathe slower conserve our air supply allowing us to make longer and more enjoyable dives. Smart design pays big dividends in comfort with this multi-thickness hood. The thinner, oversized bib is made to tuck easily into wetsuits forming additional layering for a good seal and an overall anatomical shape that helps eliminate sags and air pockets.

The face seal can be trimmed-to-precisely match your mask skirt seal. Make longer and more comfortable dives. NeoSports by Henderson's 5/3mm Vented Bib Hood, integrated vent allows bubbles to escape through the top of the hood without promoting water exchange. All seams are glued and stitched for durability and to limit water exchange. The hood body is made from premium nylon 2 neoprene 5mm material with the bib being 3mm. The Hood is black in color and is available in multiple sizes.

XS is too small for children

By

With the lack of hoods available for my 10 year old diver, I purchased this one. XS is too small, so you need to have a really, really small head if you are getting XS. LP was great about the exchange though, and the S replacement fit great.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
DAVID B  Warmth but breathableity
MARTIN C  Best price.
RANDAL F  Included with another purchase.
Michael F  I generally use a 3/2 wetsuit, but in borderline water temps, the full hood is a great way to conserve body heat without moving up to a 5 mil suit. Do so with caution and your best judgment.
JOHN P  Price is right
robert w  head is 22 neck 18 what size do I need?
WILLIAM H  i am close in size and i got a large and it fits snug you may want to get an XL beacuse you at a little bigger then me. hope this helps you
Shopper  what is it made of?
Jason B  I have a 17 neck and was ok with the Large but per my review the neoprene on my hood permanently crushed after 22 dives.
JEFF I  80% neoprene 20% nylon
TORBJORN L  Neoprene. Thickness works great for dives where temperature is as low as 50
DAVID H  Nylon II neoprene. It's comfortable and works well in cold water.
CHRIS G  According to the specifications tab, it's made of Nylon ll Neoprene. It's pretty stretchy, but you definitely don't want it to be so tight that it constricts jaw movement, or seals the ears.
KEVIN N  Neoprene and it is a great hood I love mine
