About Mares Rover Octopus

This medium-size octopus made of techno-polymer features a cover made of soft material so that the purge button is easy to push. All Mares second stages are a reliable downstream valve design and offer the unique patented Vortex Assisted Design (VAD) system. The air bypass tube conveys air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex with a low pressure area in the center that keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, for very sensitive and easy breathing at all depths.

The second stage cover features the new "mesh-grid" system for water inflow and outflow, which provides a further performance improvement. The patented mesh design of the second stage cover reduces the pressure of water flowing onto the regulators diaphragm and minimizes free-flow. Even in a strong current it eliminates the need for a knob to de-tune your air delivery system- advance technology through basic physics.Mares Rover Octopus incorporates the Fluid Dynamic Deflector, developed after in-depth studies and tests of fluid dynamics, is engineered to receive and properly direct the airflow from the bypass tube to the mouthpiece. Combined with the VAD system it delivers very natural and effortless breathing. Mares Rover Octopus comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

          Comments about Mares Rover Octopus:

I used this as My Octo and I use the Prestige as My Main both are great... what Made Me fall in love with this is My Girlfriend has Asthma and she talked me into showing her My underwater world..so I had her wrap her legs around Me while holding on to My BCD we went down to 17 feet and she said while breathing off My Octo she felt as if she was laying down relaxing and more important she felt a freedom she never felt before now if it is good enough for her to trust it I am sold now only using the Mares Family of Products...

Mares is the best breathing regs I have found.

Don't hesitate to get one or two of these. I have a Mares first stage with two of these for breathing.

Shopper  want to find out,can u use this octo as your primary?
ALEX P  Technically it will work. BUT I would not recommend you to do it. It not designed for constant use. A lot of the cheaper octos don't perform like you'd want your primary reg to perform. Many of them are specifically detuned so they don't free flow at the surface. I don't think you'd want to dive on one of those
Shopper  Can be use with a mares abyss first stage?
GUILLERMO R  I hava a MARES ABYSS as my primary and the rover as the back-up and so far it has been great. Never had any issues with it and in fact i had to actually use it once down @ 100 ft in cabo pulmo. It worked very well and easy to breath in. Never had it free-flow and i have banged it a couple of times while diving. Seems like a pretty good bang for the buck. I would recomend it.
