I have a narrow face. I have tried several mid-size masks and this is the only one that works for me. This recent purchase was to replace a second one I lost in high surf. I also ordered the corrective diopter drop in lenses for my far-sightedness. Mares X-Vision lenses are interchangeable even if the mask frame size differs. A great perk. All faces are different, but for the price you can't afford to not give this one a try.

I have a smaller face and find it hard to find a mask that fits, particularly one that doesn't cost a small fortune. This one fits great. It doesn't leak on my face, and doesn't fog if you prepare it correctly. ( I burn mine with a lighter and then clean it with toothpaste).
I bought the positive diopter lens replacement for the left eye so that I could more easily see my computer and watch. The replacement procedure was relatively easy and I was able to complete it in about 5 minutes. Even ...with the lens replacement, I spent less on the mask that I had on previous ones that didn't fit any better, and had a lesser field of view.
I bought the black mask with black skirt, since I like to do a lot of photography, and couldn't be happier with the mask. For anyone with a smaller face, particularly if you need reader lenses, I'd highly recommend this mask.

Does it fit wider face and maintain seal preventing leakage especially at depths exceeding 85 feet?

Nothing should leak at that depth. The pressure is much greater. If you’re leaking at that depth it may be your technique. Please note this is the “mid”
size mask for smaller faces so the answer would be no for fitting wider faces. You may want to try the full size version of this mask. I own three of these as well as backup straps for when they eventually break. I have also inserted a magnifying lens replacement on the lower left side to assist with reading gauges at depth without glasses.

mid fit masks are for narrower face. Therefore it should fit better than a regular mask.

Is this liquidskin skirt? I think I have almost identical mask purchased about 4 years ago that is liquidskin and fits my narrower face. I read there is a XVision liquid skin mid size so I'm wondering if this is it?

As far as I know, no, this is the standard silicon skirt at this price range. Usually you need to go up a few dollars for the liquid skin in Mares. It does fit my narrower face great though and have logged maybe 30 dives and lots of snorkeling. I did have to use a lighter on the inside of this mask to burn the film off so it would stop fogging. I like the fit of the mask. I think I will stay with clear silicon next time instead of black. I'm curious now about the color correcting lenses on newer masks... again more money, but considering all the other parts of diving, what's another 30 bucks?

There are 2 versions of corrective lenses for X-Vision masks, one is named "2013 and before" the other is "2014", which corrective lens fits the MID version of the X-Vision mask?

I have the Mares X-Vision Liquid Skin Two Window Mask with corrective lenses, but it is too wide for my face and leaks on the sides. Is the X-vision MID narrower but provides the same nose room? Does the corrective lenses from the X-Vision Liquid Skin fit the X-vision Mid?

The nose room will be slightly less in the MID.
If the mask is from the same model year as the lens, it should fit.
