Great for added warmth when you need more than a rashguard but don't want to hassel with a wetsuit. Product was delivered on time and customer service was excellent.

Size is a guessing Game

Don't go by the sizing charts, the best advice i got was from live chat, calling in gave me advice contrary to the live chat, live chat ended up being more accurate. LP has an excellent return procedure but it is still time consuming and inconvenient, but still good to have. After 3 tries I hope the 4th is going to work. Not much difference between SM and Med, LP is out of LG so going to try XL. My hat size is 6 7/8. Chat recommended LG, sales recommended Med, which was waaaay too small. too early to tell how it works in the water, at this point hard to tell how it fits even.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Katheryn M  reviews and cost and a little thinner then the 1.5mm I have
Larry C  Is the the thickness on this product 1/2 mm or 5 mm? online it shows as .5 mm
Kasia W  This is 0.5 mm shirt.
FORREST C  1/2 mm and an excellent product if the one you get is titanium
Jeff W  1/2 mil Excellent as a rash guard for warm waters or as an undershirt for full wetsuit. Easy to get into and easy to wash. Hope this helps, enjoy!
PETER G  Larry, I have both the thermal and the thin skin. Thin skin is very light, like wearing a t shirt. The thermal material is thicker and warmer, as for saying 5mm, more like 1 mm.
CHARLES T  .5mm warm water only. I suggest you buy one that has a drawstring at the bottom to keep it in place. that's my only complaint with this item. Otherwise its the usual great quality for Mares.
ERWIN M  0.5 mm. This is best used in tropical water. 77F to 82F.
CLAUDIA G  The shirt is a half mm or .5 mm. We love these thermo guard shirts for both snorkeling and as an extra layer under our 3 mm wetsuits.
SEAN O  It's 1/2 mm. It's a rash guard with a little insulation. Worked great in Aruba. Wouldn't work so great here in the PNW.
Larry C  Sean, Thanks, how do you think this would be for 73-77 degrees F water temp in Galapagos?
SEAN O  In that temp range and keeping at the surface, I would go for a full suit. I have one at home that is 3mm body and 2mm sleeves and legs. That would be perfect. A) it keeps the jellys away from your skin, b) it keeps the sun off of your skin c) snorkeling does not restrict you to an hour so 2-3 hours submerged in 75 degree water and you're hypothermic.
SCOTT L  It is 1/2 mm. I use it as a rash guard.
Larry C  Thank you Scott. Would you recommend this for snorkeling in the Galapagos with water temps of 70-75 degrees F?
SEAN O  Aruba had 80 degree water and I was fine scuba diving in this shirt. Others were shivering with 3mm full suits on. Really depends on your cold tolerance. If you handle cold well and keep to the surface where the sun will warm you, then maybe. It's only a shirt, so not a lot of jelly fish protection here.
SCOTT L  Yes for snorkeling it would be fine. It is a pretty tight fitting shirt so consider ordering one size larger than you otherwise might.
Larry C  Is the .5 mm shown online 1/2 mm or 5 mm?
Shopper  is this both the shorts and long sleeve or just the long sleeve?
Bill P  This is only the shirt
