Comments about Mares Hybrid Pure BCD with MRS Plus Weight Pockets:

Although the smallest size is XS/S it fits me perfectly as an tiny Asian. It can be adjusted to fit my small built physique and it is surprisingly very comfortable even with the tank on it. It felt so light even for me who had had hernia before. The back suspension is fabulously comfortable. It was easy to keep myself balance on the surface unexpectedly. I am very impressed with the product and will recommend it to friends.

Comments about Mares Hybrid Pure BCD with MRS Plus Weight Pockets:

This BCD is good example of underrated product. I've just made first 10 dives using this BCD in warm water. It is very easy to use, very easy to balance and comfortable to wear. After folding I packed this BCD, regulators, mask, snorkel and boots to the plane on board case.

Comments about Mares Hybrid Pure BCD with MRS Plus Weight Pockets:

This BCD is really easy to pack. Moving from a Mares AT Dragon, I was skeptical about the comfort of this travel BCD. But after having used it in a few dives, I'm convinced that it easy to put on and assemble, lightweight, versatile and comfortable.

Having a small footprint, it is also useful for wreck penetration.
Strategically placed d-rings lets you clip your favorite accessories.

It also dries up faster than my previous BCD.

The foldable pocket is also a good feature.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars would have to be the lack of pockets. Other wise I love it! It is so comfortable and fits perfect. Can't wait to dive many a dive in this one!

I am disappointed with the workmanship of the BCD, the zipper was torn the minute I try to unzip the pouch. I wonder if this is the reason why it is on sale.

        Questions about this item:

        Angus t  I'm 5'10, 150lbs, with a 31" waist....what size do you guys recommend?
STEVEN G  They have quite a large fit range to them. The straps are quite long. In fact I trimmed both mine and my wife's waist belt down some. I am 6'4" 195 and use the XL, She is 5'4" maybe 130 and uses the SM. My XL is quite big enough. Certainly will fit folks much bigger than me. Her SM fits her very well. For your size I would go with the Mares size chart and use the Medium. If you were borrowing one say from a friend I would think you could get away with a small in a pinch as they are quite adjustable. Here again, if you are buying new I would go with a medium just based upon your height and the size chart. Of course best to try one on if you can. They do seem to have plenty of strap length for lets say bigger folks. Your svelte waist size might allow you to fit either the SM or Med.. Buy from a reputable dealer and return if what you choose does not fit.
