    Comments about Mares F-Light BC:

Very good BC. Great for travel, very light. Very good lift. The one thing I do not like is the location of the zippers of the pockets. Mounted to high. Hard to use. The back pockets are not worth anything but to add weight if you are light. Over all a good BC if you travel. I would not use it for my primary BC.

    Comments about Mares F-Light BC:

    A true Bang-for-the-buck!
fits like a glove, generous pockets, ultra compact and light!
great build, same materials as my brothers aqualung BC at half the weight, and best of all: real metal D rings! no more cheap plastic ones!

the only reason i´m not giving it a 5 star review was, due to the lack of structure (back plate) it is a bit tricky to deflate above water (have to use the inflator hose and right shoulder purge valve every time i begin my descent).

this also makes it a bit uncomfortable while floating, it feels like a back inflated bc (tends to want to face-plant you on the surface). but once i got used to its little quirks. i have to say i fell in love with it!

once in the water, it is extremely simple to trim thanks to its 3 purge valves, mobility is a bliss thanks to its snug fit and lack of backplate.

this is a weekend warrior i´m not getting rid of!

        Comments about Mares F-Light BC:

Bought this on sale as my old bcd has a hole. Like that there isnt a bulky back plate that is heavy and difficult to pack. This comes with a thin foldable plastic that is hidden and a sponge that is detachable via velcro instead of back plate. Thought it may not be as good a support against the tank, but when i tried it, i cant feel the tank at it. So its good , light & comfy. Its got a good lift and hugs the body well that can allow me to float flat on the water surface and admire the sky and cloud.
Very good buy, especially if you travel with your bcd. It can be flatten to almost like a piece of shirt, with the inflator hose the only bulky thing.
It has 2 weight pocket at the tank strap which makes it perfect to put weight in and not use a weight belt.

I haven't had the chance to dive with my BC yet but hope to soon. The large was too big for me 5'10"; 170-175; 40 chest' 34 waist.

Traded it in for a medium, fits a lot better, at least in my living room.

            Comments about Mares F-Light BC:

            I like having a jacket-style BCD that is travel-friendly.
I also wanted a BCD with a pocket big enough to hold my SeaLife camera.
The trim weight pockets are nice to allow me to cut down on the amount of weight on my belt, making my dives more comfortable.
It does compress and fold down to a small-ish bundle.
The tank strap is several inches too long, though, and the velcro is on the very end, so that it is too far to be able to attach snugly against the tank. I'm going to try to take it to a tailor to see if I can get another piece of velcro sewn on at the right spot, and then trim off the excess strap.

            Questions about this item:

HUGO M  Would it be possible to attach and use the Scubapro Air 2 with this BC?
IEGOR S  Sorry, I can't answer your question. I am not familiar with the Air2 and I don't use one. There should be a compatibility list or maybe you should ask Scubapro directly before you buy it. I assume it should have a standard fit but I have seen some people on this Q&A saying it woudn't fit some BC's.
