About Manta Spring Fin Straps with Stainless Steel Clip

Many fins on the market today have a button molded onto the side of the fin. Attached to the button are different styles of plastic clips which hold a rubber strap and an adjustment mechanism. Divers often find this system awkward to adjust when geared up. Manta is currently releasing a new style of mounting clip to attach their Spring Fin Straps to these style fins.

The clip is made of electro-polished stainless steel and is designed to simulate the attaching portion of the plastic clip. This makes installation a SNAP. Simply push your old clip off and slide on the new. Removal is so easy you can interchange the straps between different brands or styles of fins. (Not recommended for Force Fins, Atomic, or Tusa) Springs are also made of stainless steel with clear plastic tubing covering the spring.

Spring fin strap have a slimmer profile then most conventional fin straps reducing the potential of fouling with lines sea weed (kelp) or debris. Easy to use springs automatically compensates for different size feet and boots. Spring fin straps are easy to put on and take off and they are depth compensating because they will compress to changes in the thickness of your boots. Spring fin straps are available in four sizes and come with a 60 month limited warranty.

Manta springs on Mares fins

By

I am using these springs on my Mares Avanti fins. I need to modify them so they will not unclip themseves while I am diving.

A Nice Improvement!

By

Easy to use and with a low potential for entanglement. They install very easily, but on my Oceanic Vortex V-12's they are not as securely attached as I would like! I have to be cautious pulling my fins off on boarding the boat post-dive so as not to lose them.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
RON B  Got these on sale for around $5. They work well, just make sure they are clipped on the fin well before diving. They can get loose especially if you loose a zip tie.
CHRIS L  Get these on your fins and put them on in 5 seconds instead of fumbling around for 5 minutes
Tim H  What is the exact stem size for these spring straps? It looks like it is too small to fit the 1/2 inch stems on the Scubapro Jet Sport fins.
KEVIN F  These will fit on the Scubapro Jet Sport fins.
George C  Will these fit Atomic Blade Fins? If so, what size do you recommend for X-Large Fins?
Frank L  they should work, but sizing depends on your boot, and how much it sticks out of the fin. Measure around your boot while it is in the fin. Start at one attachment point and go around the heel and then stop at the other attachment point. Subtract one inch and select the closest size to that measurement.
