I use this to kill lawn critters digging into the lawn. Works nicely without the barbs, since the barbs would pull up grass roots.
Constructed of rugged hardened steel, JBL's fixed Spear points are a perfect blend of durability and performance. Each point is designed for low maintenance, dependability and most important results. Paralyzers stop reef fish dead in their tracks on your pole spear. Whatever points you choose if it's from JBL you know you're getting your money's worth. Paralyzer Tip is economic spear point with hardened steel tines, gold anodized base and paralyzing action for better holding power. Tip is used in rocks and reefs primarily on pole spears, for medium to small fish and comes in both 6 and 7mm thread. Spear point is optional tip for JBL one piece pole spears.

Wow, that was 2016 but over all length about 10” business end 7”, many different tips and trips since I bought those but I bought two and used them until 2019, so good service length.

Can this be used with the JOB 6 foot pole spear?
YAN G
6mm can, yes.

Will this paralyzer (6mm) screw onto a JBL spear shaft which is sold with the 38 Special for NW speargun??
SKU: JBL728-NW
DAVID C
Both the shaft and the paralyzer tip come with mating 6mm threads so they should, but i have not tried it myself.

Is this spear tip stainless steel?
PATRICK C
No, it is not stainless steel. If face, mine is now fairly rusty after several years of use.
JOHN H
Tip is not SS. It started to rust the next day after I had it in salt water. Very disappointed that I spent that much and it wasn't SS.
DONALD CRAIG H
no

No, this is as advertized, hardened steel; but a good alternative to the more expenssive stainless one. Workes well and is eaisly straigened when bent.
GREGORY P
No it is not - the spear is steel and rusts after use in salt water. I am still using the ones I bought 2 or 3 years ago and I bought some spares at that time that i have not used yet
KEVIN K
No it is not
JEFFREY R
It appears to be but it did rust.
RON S
No Spring Steel. Best one on the market. stainless tip fish throw easier.these tips bend easier and that makes it harder for the fish to throw especially when they rust up some.
TERRY N
no.

Hi i want to purchase 5' JBL pole spear and this tip but how do I know what thread size fits the JBL pole?
MARK D
This paralyzer tip will fit any JBL pole. JBL use 6mm threads for all their pole spears.
ERIC L
6mm should fit the JBL. Wrap your JBL w/ some speaker wire or mono where your shooting hand will go when cocked, then cover it with hockey tape. This will give your polespear a much needed grip. Don't know why JBL designed their spears this way.
KAREN F
If you are looking to get the JBL 5 foot fixed pole spear without tip (D60), in the description it indicates the stainless threaded tip will accept any 6mm point. So I would order the 6mm versus 7mm. I love this pole and paralyzer point combo for spear fishing flounder. I've landed them in the 30 inch long, 11-12 pound range with no trouble. When they say this pole has very little flex - they mean it! Happy hunting!
HENRY M
THere are adaptors to fit this if it does not fit yours.
THOMAS C
They are all the same size. I'm not a fan of the paralyzer tip, because if the fish has tougher scales, you can hit the fish pretty hard and it won't penetrate. :-(
