The JBL 786 slide ring and spring that I got is too large a diameter for 5/16" shaft. It is not as pictured. The picture shows a loose spring with about 4 turns, then the attachment point, then another turn. The slide ring and spring I received is a tight spring with 3 turns, then the attachment point, the a few more turns. I can not use the ring or spring on my 5/16" shafts.

Shopper  Would this work on a AB Biler 42 special with a 5/16 (8mm) shaft?
JOHN M  I guess so, mine is a 48 LTD. It has the same diameter shaft. You can call AB Biller at 630-529-2729 to be sure. Always be safe, dont dive alone.
