If you make your own spear gun slings (bands) then you want to use only the best materials available. The JBL Wishbones are made from high quality (302) stainless spring steel wire for superior strength, durability and long life. So, don't settle for anything less the JBL performance wishbones. The JBL640 Wishbone is for the 1/2" diameter Standard Series Slings used on JBL Carbine Spear Guns. Wishbones are a great save-a-dive kit item. Be sure to get a few JBL645 Pro Rings to complete the job.

BRIAN C  pro rings how to install JBL 645 ?
Sam S  These wishbones go into the latex tubing. Basically the brass lobes are inserted in the tubing and then the metal wishbone is exposed and attaches the taut band to the spearshaft. To apply pro rings we recommend sanding the latex to a point and then pulling the rings into place with pliers.
