What's in the box: Spear Gun, Shaft JBL748S, Slings Three JBL324, Spear Point JBL823, Shock Line JBL519
Competition Magnum XHD* XHD stands for Extra Heavy Duty and we mean it. Thicker alloy barrel, 3/8" (9.53 mm) hardened, stainless shaft, trigger mechanisms are carbide tipped and all models are equipped with 5/8" (16 mm) Hi-Mod bands that feature stainless wire wishbones. The XHD is the gun of choice for commercial and hard-core shooters; to these guys it's a tool not a toy.
Three bands and a heavy shaft will punch through just about any fish, which is why the Shark Research Institute depends on the XHD for tough jobs like radio tagging 40' (12.2 meters) whale sharks. Go big, go XHD. XHD are nearly identical to the Magnum guns, but more rugged, and longer lasting. Using more heat-treatedsteel and more powerful slings, these guns provide longevity and power in one.
The Guns overall length is 63" (160 cm) the 17-4 JBL748S shaft is 48" (122 cm) long. The Gun is equipped with the JBL519 Shock Line. Sometimes we miss or we shoot a large fish and the recoil can pull the gun out of your grip, which ever, the shock line will keep you in control. Guns range is 31' (9.45 meters). The three JBL324 slings with 302 stainless steel wishbones give maximum power.
The JBL823 tip is designed for large powerful fish. JBL's breakaway point has 4"(10.2 cm) wings and 3" (7.6 cm) slip-tip configuration. The Tip is hardened 17-4 stainless and features a multi-braid stainless cable in 1/16" (2 mm) diameter. These tips hang on no matter how hard the fight while minimizing damage to your spear shaft. Their low-profile, double barbed design allows for pinpoint accuracy and dependable deployment. Don't trust a once in a lifetime fish to anything else. The Gun is totally made in the USA.
