Comments about JBL 6'8" Breakdown Polespear (2D80):

I have been spoiled for years now, using only spearguns, it is sweet to be back where it all started for me. I still have my tired old fiberglass polespear from highschool, the JBL is much nicer and compact for travel. The end plug is the only sore spot it is hard to remove. I put some grip tape around the end to help with holding the spear while removing the plug.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

            Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ADAM H  I love this thing. i have eaten many fish because of it. you can fill it with water for extra weight and punch. lots of options for points and you can buy extensions and different bands.I have used it for fish up to 30lbs
CORY H  Which JBL polespear sliptip would you recommend for this polespear? It seems like a sliptip is a necessity for a pole spear.
CARLTON C  Also suggest JBL 14" for bigger fish, smaller snapper or fish in the 2-3 lb range the bullet tip will work and a cheaper option.
Frankie H  Does it come with any tip besides a three prong tip?
JOSEPH P  Hi Frankie - I own the three piece model, which does include a "rock tip" along with the 3-prong paralyzer. I think for whatever reason JBL does not include the rock tip with the two piece. Regardless, if you plan on spearing anything larger than a "jumbo shrimp" I would recommend adding a slip tip to your arsenal - JBL makes some very good ones. I can tell you that I am very satisfied with my polespear - I've owned for several years, and use many times each year. The anodizing is top quality as are the materials - holding up perfectly so far. Hope this was helpful. Happy shopping. Rob
