I am researching these shorts for a future purchase. Would I be able to wear same shorts over a skin, v 3 mm v 7mm suits? How much do I add to my waist size for 3mm v 7mm I am about 36 inch waist.

I believe the 36" shorts should fit fine wearing a 3m wetsuit, but if you are wearing a 7m suit you will need to go one size larger. Here is an example: I've lost 49 lbs and my waistline dropped from 38 to 33" . I orginally brought the 32" shorts, which fit perfectly without a wetsuit. So I send them back and now waiting for the 36" shorts to arrive that are on back order. I hope this helps. These shorts are like no other and are well made with many pockets to use various dive accessories....what more could you ask or desire in a pair of dive shorts? :)

These are sized very small... I typically where 32" jeans, and I where a 34" in these with a skin suit. I would get a 38" to 40". Also, I have had very bad luck with the quality control of these shorts. They are not made in the USA and are riddled with issues such as improper stitching, cheap toggles that break, and size / fit issues. I would recommend you find a different brand; but I will say when these work they are awesome. Loads of pocket space.

Aloha- These are the best shorts / outer wear that I've worn, pricey but worth every penny. My suggestion is to order your actual waist size , they are a little over sized for wearing over wet suits up to 7m. I used to wear SCUBA Pro " Shorties" for the extra storage until I tried these............Can't go wrong and great for casual wear to!....Happy diving............Maverick - Hilo Hawaii

I also am a 36 inch waist. I got the 38 inch size. The shorts have some adjustment and they work just fine over both my 3 mm shorty and board shorts.
