What is the best torch use with this strap?
The strap slides over your hand so the torch is positioned on top of your hand. Rather than holding the torch, both hands are free and the torch shines wherever you point your hand. I've found it to be handy sometimes, and other times I just keep the torch in my BC pocket.
The strap is designed to work with any of the Intova lights that use two CR123 batteries, such as the IFL660.
Any similar sized light should work just fine!
I use this hand strap with the Intova torch, and have not tried any other brand with it. I imagine just about any other torch with the same - or slightly larger - diameter will work just fine.
After some use, I found that the blue neoprene stretched ever so slightly, so I have had to stitch down the sides a bit to retighten the neoprene's grip on the torch.
Other than that, this is a really good product. It makes a great difference to have the torch strapped to the back of one's hand, leaving the fingers free for a camera, reel, noisemaker, or to inflate/deflate the BCD. The strap is long enough that it will thoroughly go around a large hand (mine are on the large side), so most people needn't worry about it not fitting.
That's more than you asked for, but hopefully it will help.
It is best used to hold a torch on your hand. However, my hand is a bit small so it is looser than I would like. I think it will fit most men's hands.
I have found that general light use works well with this strap. Keeps hands free to do other things.
It is designed to hold the intova torch pictured with it to the back of the hand, around the wrist.
Thanks, do you know the model number by any chance?
No, but I believe any of the small intova torchs with this shape will work in it.
